Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Steller. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Steller, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I’ve always known I wanted to do something with music. When I was in 4th grade I started playing guitar, a few years later I was taking vocal lessons. Fast forward and I decided to pursue a degree in audio engineering in college with the goal of eventually making production/dj-ing my profession.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a bass music producer and Dj. I’ve always wanted to do something that involved music on the creative side and i’ve known this even from a young age, I just wasn’t sure what it would look like until I got older! I studied audio engineering in college and gradually started to explore electronic music production and focus in on what my ‘sound’ would be. I have a lot of musical influences – coming from a rock background, but also a big fan of world music I think this helped form what that sound is today. I think I’m most proud of how I got to where I am today and the awesome community that is starting to form, because I would not be here without my supporters. I think in bass music specifically there is a really special community that lifts each other up and your free to be yourself with no judgements. That’s definitely what drew me in to make music in this genre. On the more technical side – I like how basic music has no limits in terms of sound design and what you can do creatively.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of being an artist is definitely sharing my music and seeing the impact it has on people. Thats one of the main goals too, to affect people in a positive way with my music.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Share and repost their music and posts as much as possible, buy tickets to their shows, buy their music
