We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Stefany Ting a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Stefany, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
There have been many defining moments in my journey as an Ancestral Healing Facilitator. The first time I experienced the power of Sound Healing in a restorative yoga class, my world changed forever. I became aware of a world that existed beyond my senses. Having been working a demanding corporate job, this was my first experience with experiencing a regulated nervous system while the darkness of the room held us in comfort with sounds from the forest, gongs and chimes. For the first time, I understood deeply that there was something deep and spiritual in my life that demanded my attention and pulled at my Soul.
Some would call it an inner knowing or a deepening of my connection with my intuition.
My first sound healing experience elicited images in my subconscious that flourished in the form of inner messages, vivid images that unfolded within myself containing strong messages, This sparked my quest to pursue my yoga teacher training, meditation teacher training, sound healing, energy healing and finally led me to pursue Ancestral Healing through Family Constellations. These certification trainings unearthed much of my unprocessed trauma and allowed me to get deeper within myself, gaining a deeper sense of self and a deeper sense of my life’s purpose. I have had the privilege of experiencing many outstanding modalities.
When I experienced my first family constellations experience, I was invited to stage a snapshot in time within my family system and I had decided to stage a family dinner. In this experience, I choose strangers to represent my family, while providing emotional descriptive narration of the scene. I felt my body starting to disassociate from my consciousness for the first time. This was the first time that I faced my family trauma straight on.
One family constellations experience led to another, where I was inspired to pursue extensive training in Family Constellations. This modality has single handedly helped me come to peace with the family of origin, giving me perspective in my Soul journey and has contributed greatly to my evolution.
Stefany, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a compassionate and intuitive advanced Certified Family Constellations Facilitator and guide on the transformative journey of ancestral healing. Deeply rooted in ancestral healing practices and the weaving of shamanic practices, I dive deep into the realms of intergenerational trauma and unconscious dynamics, guiding individuals into the illumination and healing movements that bring soulful healing within family systems.
Fascinated by archetypal patterns that manifest themselves through our reality, I am a passionate student of the teachings of the Gene Keys and the IChing. My holistic life path has led me into a rich tapestry of healing modalities. As a Certified Hatha and Restorative Yoga Teacher, Meditation Teacher specializing in Compassion-Based Resilience (CBRT) and Mindfulness-Based Addiction Recovery (MBAR), Energy Healer, Sound Therapy Practitioner, and student of shamanic practices, I weave together ancient wisdom and contemporary techniques to create profound shifts in consciousness.
With reverence for sacred rituals and the natural laws of the universe, I facilitate transformative experiences that tap into the magic of the universe, allowing individuals to step into the depths of their soul essence and reconnect with the wisdom and love of their ancestors and beyond. My sessions are held both in person and online.
My devotion to the path of shamanism and medicine work infuses the way that I hold sacred containers.
A forever student of bhakti yoga and ancient Vedic scriptures, my journey led me to joyfully complete three levels of Kirtan training with Kirtan Vancouver, invoking the transcendental energy of sacred sound as a conduit for healing and spiritual awakening, encouraging others to connect deeply with their sacred hearts through the practice of musical meditation.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Doing the inner work
We all have an invitation to cultivate resilience on daily events and interactions that we experience, Each interaction with an outside force represents and opportunity to grow spiritually through perspective and contrast. Many experiences will trigger our past traumas and will bring up unpleasant experiences or emotions to the surface. However, it is our willingness to look at, and dedication to heal our traumas that bring tremendous lasting peace.
Cultivating self compassion and acceptance
As I progressed as a family constellations facilitator, there were many events that presented themselves to me that required the cultivation of self compassion and acceptance of aspects of myself that I had rejected and repressed such as my negative feelings and experiences. I was also not willing to accept my ancestral lineage. After many constellations, I am happy to say that I have a much greater openness to my lineage.
Drive and willingness to continue to learn about family constellations in various ways as well as exploring other modalities
I learned to develop a curiosity towards additional modalities that supported me through my journey with family constellations, such as deep meditations, breathwork, art therapy, 5Rhythms and yoga.
Resilience and willingness to show up
Working through trauma requires quite a lot of resilience and a willingess to show up in authenticity in vulnerable spaces. But it’s this concept of falling off the saddle, picking yourself up and continuing on.
The importance of having a tribe
I found it crucial to have found a tribe of friends and fellow facilitators that are dedicated to the betterment of the world and the positive evolution of humanity. This includes being discerning in finding the right teachers for yourself.
Family constellations is a demanding modality that begs the facilitator to remain grounded as the Ancestral Realms open, deep intuitive wisdom and deep surrender are essential.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In 2019, after having completed an intensive training in Sound Healing, I felt a strong calling to South America. I embarked on a two week journey where I flew into Mexico and travelled through to Guatemala. This trip tested my resilience from the moment that I had stepped foot alone in Mexico, navigating the local environment solo without knowing how to speak Spanish. During this pilgrimage, I was invited into many adventures that taught me great lessons about resilience and trust. In Mexico, I went into an eight hour hike in a cave under the earth. I dropped into a crevice in the earth and hiked through many cave formations underneath the earth with nothing but a headlamp to guide my way. In Guatemala, I became ill with food poisoning but still decided to push through an overnight hike on an active volcano. Those moments, just to name a few, taught me a lot about myself and my authenticity. Most importantly, they helped me develop a deeper sense of trust with the universe and allowed me to trust my intuition more. I would not trade them for the world.
