Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stefany Mantiply. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stefany, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I’ve been a Family & Senior Photographer for about 11 years, so about 3 years ago I had the urge to go back to school to get a degree in E-Marketing and Social Media. This is how “The Photographer Biz Coach” was formed. I’ve always enjoyed helping others be successful in life, business etc.. Sharing knowledge to help other photographers succeed is so important to me. It’s rough out there in the entrepreneur world. I can remember when I first started in this industry especially as a “momtog” it was scary. You get major imposter syndrome, everything seems so overwhelming and you get burnt out pretty quickly. But thankfully through the years I’ve learned to stay motivated, and dedicated to helping other photographers like myself not make the same mistakes. The Photographer Biz Coach is a platform for any photographer who needs help utilizing social media to capture leads, grow their following and build a profitable business. No matter where you are in your business, just starting or maybe at a stand still we’ve got 1:1 coaching programs tailored just for you.
Stefany, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Stephanie, and you may or may not have read about me before. I’ve been a Photographer and a Social Media Manager. (11 years as a photographer, 2 as a social media manager ) Two years ago I created Thrive Media Marketing to help small business owners create growth, capture leads and create strategies for their businesses. It’s been a roller coaster of a ride, and I am so very thankful for each and everyone of my clients and business relationships. I got to a point late last year, where I was getting completely burnt out. It wasn’t that we weren’t successful but it was that I was saying YES to every type of business. This was a problem for me. I needed to really sit down and assess what I wanted my business to look like. My passion will always be photography and helping others. So, instead of saying yes to everyone I decided to say yes to Photographers. Enter, The Photographer Biz Coach. Helping other photographers grow as business owners, and build profitable businesses while utilizing social media. My personal background has help me throughout the years. I know exactly how it feels to start from scratch, make mistake after mistake until years later it finally clicks. So, Instead of having to make my same mistakes I’m going to help fast track them and their business. My Instagram is filled with tips and tricks to help you market online, daily motivation as an entrepreneur for those days you just need a little lift. But if your really ready to level up your business, my coaching program is the way to go. The program is 1:1 and 6 weeks. This is where we dive into the state of your business, what your goals are and how we’re going to achieve them. We also dive into how your marketing your business and what types of processes you have in place that may or may not need tweaking. I’m ready to share all the knowledge of creating a successful photography business. There’s no gate keeping here. Everyone can be successful.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of being a creative is helping others bring their visions and goals to life. It’s so satisfying to watch them put everything together and build their dream businesses. I love being apart of something bigger than myself.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I’m not sure if there’s any resources I wish were available to me early on. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I do however wish there was a more inclusive world within the photography industry for newbies. When I first started I was so intimidated by other photographers. They all had fancy degrees, knew each other and if you asked them a question you got a run around answer. Basically, they were gatekeeping all the information us newbies wanted to know. I mean I shouldn’t say all of them, I made friends with a handful of them who were very successful and took me under their wings. They were the 1%. But there I was, a stay at home mom who had a few photography classes under her belt a whole lot of youtube hours, and some college courses. They wanted nothing to do with me. SO yeah, I’d love for the photography industry to change its tune towards new photographers no matter what their background is. Thats one reason I decided to start the photographer biz coach, I’m not afraid to help other photographers be successful.
