We recently connected with Starfox (of the Fleet) and have shared our conversation below.
Starfox, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I had a story in my head that I couldn’t write music and would therefore never be able to be the lead singer of a rock band. I ended up moving in with someone who was a full-time videographer and part-time musician. Being so present in his creative flow greatly demystified the songwriting process for me and alleviated some of the fear I had around it. At that time I was also taking a lot of risks in my life and saying YES to things that excited and scared me, which created a whirlwind of emotion that served as fantastic songwriting material. With my newfound inspiration, creative support system, and songwriting toolkit, I was finally able to write my first song…which turned into 10 songs in 10 days. I had always been a talented musician and performer but once I broke the songwriting seal, I knew I had everything I needed to become a groundbreaking rockstar that could propel themselves to intergalactic success.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a radical rainbow rockstar from the future who has traveled back in time to relive my journey to intergalactic stardom. I sing the blues, dance like no one is watching, write songs about beauty and pain, and play piano/keytar/guitar. My music is a psychedelic cabaret of sound and color that spans genres from classic rock to neo-psychedelic dream pop.
I haven’t seen any other rock bands combine multiple genres while incorporating immersive theater,, sci-fi, fashion, dance, and web3…let alone one with a female lead. In the female leads department, I haven’t seen anyone else combine the masculine bravado of classic rockstars with the feminine grace of a pop star to create a larger-than-life stage presence that shocks and awes. I like to channel elements of Freddie Mercury, Lady Gaga, Jack Black, and David Bowie in my stage persona to create something campy, sexy, and powerful.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
