We recently connected with Star “Ms Pink” Miles and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Star “Ms Pink”, thanks for joining us today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
So I am the owner and creative mind behind the Pink Pussy Brand and a lot of the times people see it as something sexual instead of a Brand I created to help women with vaginal health. People’s first thought is oh she’s a whole or she’s displaying sex but my brand is not only about the sexual but also about vaginal health, self love, and self healing.
Star “Ms Pink”, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Well I got into the vaginal health and vagina industry just through learning to love myself. I was having a conversation with a friend and I was googling vulva reduction I’m not even sure if that was an actual thing but at the time I hated my vulva and my battle body (I was in the military at the time) said why are you googling that. I told him how selfish conscious I was and he said you need to embrace everything about yourself and I Said I need to Embrace the P***y huh! Embrace the P***y was my first official printed attitude tee and the brand just flourished with different types of attitude P***y tees. Now the vaginal health part does get more emotional, so I am the mother of 3 beautiful broke people lol , and when my daughter was about 4 (she’s 14 now) I would let her bath herself. Well one day I noticed she was having trouble urinating and I was like omg what’s wrong had someone touched her or something so I took her to the doctor immediately. Well come to find out she had developed a yeast infection and it was due to the soaps we were using and me allowing her to bath herself. So from that point on I began to study the do’s and don’t’s and the in’s and out’s of maintaining a health vagina. I know sometimes we as women fall short sometimes because keeping a healthy vagina takes a lot but do the best that you can. Keep up with gynecologist appointments , try to eat the right foods, don’t let just any and everyone enter your body, and drink water. Lol! I am now in the process of rebranding and I will be offering vaginal products, apparel, shoes, a YT show, new website, and also a subscription where you can get free gifts every month and exclusive information.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Just being able to reach people and provide information that can help them. There are a lot of young girls and women out there who don’t have the guidance when it comes vaginal health.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
I know as a creative nobody sees my dreams and goals like I see them which is perfectly OK, but as a non creative if you have a creative friend never ever shoot down their dreams. Even if you don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel your friend definitely does so don’t dim that light for them.
