Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Star Breedlove. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Star thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Taking a risk on myself wasn’t a leap—it was a calculated next step, built on years of proven instinct, discipline, and results.
My confidence was forged early, during an internship at Florida Hospital in Orlando through the University of Central Florida, where I discovered something that would define my career: there was no task beyond my capability. In a fast-paced environment alongside top executives, I distinguished myself not just as a contributor, but as a solution-oriented thinker—someone that can be trusted to deliver. That trust translated into a job offer before my internship even concluded, setting the tone for everything that followed.
From that point forward, my professional narrative became one of transformation. Across every organization I touched, my impact was measurable—operations refined, revenue elevated, systems strengthened. I built a reputation not just as a leader, but as a strategist with a singular philosophy: leave every business better than you found it.
Years of cross-industry experience sharpened my ability to identify opportunity where others saw obstacles. With each role, I expanded my skill set, deepened my expertise, and strengthened my belief in my own vision. Eventually, the question was no longer *if* I should take a risk on myself—but *why not?*
That mindset gave birth to BREEDLOVE Inc., and now fuels my latest venture, Casa Lumè Wellness—a brand rooted in intention, innovation, and elevated care. After years of building and scaling businesses for others, I made a defining decision: to channel that same energy, insight, and excellence into something of my own.

Star, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
**What sets you apart from others?**
What sets me apart is not just experience—it’s perspective. By nature, I am an analyzer of everything, someone who instinctively reads between the lines and recognizes patterns others often overlook. Where most see setbacks, I sees data; where others hear “no,” I hear opportunity. Failure, in my world, is never final—it’s instructive.
I don’t approach challenges as obstacles, but as puzzles waiting to be simplified. Complex problems don’t overwhelm me; they sharpen my focus. With a rare ability to distill chaos into clarity, I identify solutions that are not immediately visible, bringing order and direction where others may feel stuck. It’s this combination of insight, resilience, and clarity that consistently sets my work—and my results—apart.

**What are you most proud of, and what do you want potential clients to know?**
What I am most proud of isn’t a single milestone—it’s the moments that demand more. I thrive in challenges, finding fulfillment not just in solving problems, but in creating solutions that didn’t exist before. For me, the greater the complexity, the more meaningful the outcome.
That mindset fuels a constant pursuit of growth. I am always evolving—learning new strategies, exploring uncharted territory, and refining my approach to meet the ever-changing demands of business. But beyond my own success, my true passion lies in helping others unlock theirs.
I believe success in business is not reserved for a select few—it’s accessible to anyone willing to approach it with intention and strategy. My goal is to guide clients toward that realization, helping them discover their unique path to growth and build it in a way that is not only impactful, but sustainable.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Resilience, for me, has never been about endurance alone—it’s about stepping into the unknown and trusting that I can bring order to it.
Early in my career, I joined the corporate office of a company operating methadone clinics across Florida. At the time, the business was thriving—bringing in nearly $40,000 a week—and the owner had ambitious plans to expand into two additional cities within the year. On the surface, everything looked successful. But I’ve learned to trust my instincts, and something didn’t sit right.
The entire corporate operation was being run by the owner, with the help of a bookkeeper who came in once a week. Beyond payroll, there were no real systems of checks and balances. To most, it may have seemed like a well-oiled machine fueled by strong revenue. To me, it looked like opportunity—and risk—hiding in plain sight.
I took it upon myself to build a comprehensive database, something that would give me full visibility into the company’s financial landscape. It wasn’t glamorous work—it was detailed, meticulous, and often tedious—but I knew clarity lived in the details. As the pieces began to come together, so did the truth.
What I uncovered was significant: nearly $200,000 in unaccounted funds.
That moment reinforced everything I believe about resilience. It’s not just about pushing through challenges—it’s about leaning into them with curiosity and confidence. My ability to analyze, question, and create structure where there was none didn’t just identify the problem—it recovered what was lost and strengthened the business for its next phase of growth.
Experiences like that don’t just shape your skill set—they solidify your trust in yourself. And that trust is what allows me to continue taking risks, knowing that no matter the complexity, I will find a way to figure it out.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the most defining lessons in my journey was learning what to unlearn.
Early in my career, just after my internship, I stepped into my first full-time role eager, prepared, and confident in everything I had studied. On my very first day, my trainer gave me a piece of advice that stopped me in my tracks: *“Forget everything you think you know about business.”* Forget the textbooks, the theories, the expectations of how things *should* work in the real world.
At the time, it felt almost counterintuitive. I had worked hard for that knowledge. But instead of resisting it, I chose to set it aside—not discard it, but quiet it—so I could approach the experience with an open mind.
That decision changed everything.
By doing so, I was able to see business for what it truly is: dynamic, nuanced, and often far removed from theory. I learned to observe before assuming, to understand the rhythm of operations, and to recognize that real-world success often lives in the gray areas, not the black and white.
Over time, I didn’t abandon what I had learned—I refined it. I married formal education with lived experience, blending strategy with application, and theory with execution. That balance became one of my greatest strengths.
Unlearning, I realized, isn’t about starting over. It’s about creating space—to grow, to adapt, and to see more clearly than before.
