Stanley, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
I was an Educator and Coach before deciding to resign my position in education and go out and take a chance on my own. I started my own seasoning and herb business 1st and then we got got a huge blessing with Walmart.com giving us the opportunity to put our products on their platform. This lead to Catering and the school systems giving us our first chance at doing banquets and school gathering. We have since catered for big business in the likes of Georgia Power, Delta, Flowers Bakery, Southwire amongst other.
Stanley, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have always grilled and cooked my entire life but now it’s just on a bigger scale cooking for the masses. Our seasoning products are great quality and they are used all around the nation and in our community. For future clients and our following they will always know when Ga Spice & Rub Co. LLC shows up for a catering event or our products shows up to their door. We put our best foot forward and love into everything our name is apart of.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was working as a Educator and Coach for Carroll County Schools. I have always been a risk taker my entire life and never scared to try and do new things. So, in 2018 I decided that I was going to do something different & I didn’t have a clue what it was but I was done with my role in education and was going to do something different.
How’d you meet your business partner?
My business partner is a woman who I have knew for quite a long time lol. Whitney Horton who is the mother of our daughter Jaidyn. We have always been the cooks when it came to family & friend gathering’s. So, cooking is nothing new we’re just doing it on a bigger scale with catering now.
