Stanaireon, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

The story behind my mission comes from a place of confusion, curiosity, depression and anxiety. Growing up brown and lgbtq isn’t the best for the mental when the world around you don’t understand you and you are still trying to understand yourself. Once I stood firm in who I was and learned how to channel it, I knew I had to funnel that through my art. The grace, confidence, sexual liberation, body positivity, mental health awareness, and many more things that make up Stanaireon is what makes up “Moments By HEC”

Stanaireon, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Im a East Saint Louis Native, the city of champions.A lot isn’t expected from us here, but i knew i always stood out. Ive always been the oddball, the creative one, different, fashionable, misunderstood and I’ve learned to stand in that and own it. With all these characteristics photography wasn’t on my mind as a hobby or a career at a young age even though I was always the one capturing a moment from family events or in school. In highschool I started my brand “Human Error Creations” ,which consisted of customized denim, distressed tee’s and more. From there I was known as the boy that cut jeans up in my area. Once i got out of high school I wanted to do more with that, and I did. I got my first logo it was up hill from there. When it came to me needing a photoshoot I did not have the funds for a photographer at all. So Stanaireon decided to take his own photos with his IPhone 7+ and the rest was history honestly. I started doing my own shoots with my phone, promo videos & even did some paid shoots as a iPhone photographer. After a year or so of doing that i was gifted with a cannon and “Moments By HEC” was born not too long after that. As I went on perfecting my craft, I’ve came across multiple great opportunities that Im so grateful for and so many more to come. In any type of creative field its never easy and some things have to be put on hold when life starts doing its thing. Through that I discovered more about myself & wanted to implement that into my craft. Confidence, Grace, Body positivity, Sexual liberation, Mental Health awareness , and a couple more things , are all apart of me. No matter the shoot, from portraits, editorial, boudoir, family photos etc, I want some element to be seen and or felt in my art. What I’ve learned about myself and what I’m discovering currently is one of my most proudest moments because its forming me to the beautiful soul I am. Thats another reason why people love working with me from simply collaborating to actually booking with me. Besides it being a business I try to be as welcoming and positive as possible and thats what makes Stanaireon who he is.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?

A resource I wish I knew about when I first got into photography is the facebook communities/groups for models and photographers to network. Those groups would have come in handy when I needed to get advice, collaborations, and more. Now any new comers that approach me with questions and needing advice, this is one of the top things I recommend to help get themselves out there.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My mission is to promote confidence, body positivity , sexual liberation, and just growth as a whole. Those are all things that are apart of me & I like to have that seen through my art. Helping others see things within themselves through my work especially if they are one of my models, add to my happiness because I’m helping someone with something so beautiful on what ever journey they are on.
