We recently connected with Stan Popovich and have shared our conversation below.
Stan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Hello!
My name is Stan Popovich, and I am a Penn State graduate who struggled with anxiety for 20+ years.
There were many times in my life I felt like giving up. During these difficult times, my anxieties and fears were so powerful that I had trouble getting through each week.
The most difficult thing I faced when struggling with my mental health was finding the answers that would take away my anxieties and fears in a timely manner.
Mental health counseling can get very expensive even with health insurance.
Many of the low-cost mental health programs have a waiting list of many months.
There were many times I had to change counselors due to staff changes which disrupted my progress and recovery.
The mental health books I read were very long and covered only a few techniques.
I decided to make things a lot easier for myself to get the relief that I desperately needed.
I documented all of my sessions I had with various counselors into a small notebook. I also wrote down every technique I learned in managing my mental health over 20+ years.
I also included personal insights from those who struggled with their mental health.
I eventually organized my notes into a small book titled A Layman’s Guide to Managing Fear.
This book goes into great detail on the variety of today’s most current techniques and approaches including some spiritual techniques that many people use.
A Layman’s Guide to Managing Fear provides you with a variety of techniques to help manage your mental health. Usually, what works for one person may not work for someone else.
