We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Stacy Randall. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Stacy below.
Hi Stacy, thanks for joining us today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
In 2020 after being locked down for so long, I decided to take up the art of painting and fell in love with it! I started watching tutorials of YouTube, and learned some skills and techniques. The most essential skills were blending and color mixing- I recently took up oil painting which I love even more and blending was even easier for me. Time stands in the way of me doing more, but I love to do it when I do have time.
Stacy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hello! My name is Stacy Randall. First I was radically saved by Jesus Christ in 2010 which began my journey with my “job” as a minister, at Bay Valley Christian Church in Bay city Mi and also now a 2nd campus in Vassar Mi.
Something I’ve been working on is my art. Which is what I’d like to highlight in this segment. I started painting in 2020 and it has just grown since then, I’ve found passion in it. I just began oil painting, and I fell in love with it.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I believe the best way to support artists is to display their work or create atmospheres for creatives to be a part of displays or events.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to use my art to glorify God and to help fund our ministry. Leaders for Christ. Building Christian leaders in the next generation!
