Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stacii Floyd . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Stacii, thanks for joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
II productions and Brainstorming Epilepsy Festival are always in growth. When you are passionate about what you do, you excepted that your purpose is never ending. The steps I took were first: staying focused and pushing negativity out my circle. Secondly: surrounding myself around people of like mind who believed in my vision. We worked extensively to create a blueprint that was tailored for these businesses. The production company took 3 years of consistency to be able to stand on its own, while the Brainstorming Epilepsy Project has took in 5 years in the making. I had to take a lot of no’s. So I excepted the fact that I had to continue with self education. and I started listening more to my audience, and also marketing different to my audience is caused a dramatic change in both my music and the epilepsy Project.
Stacii, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I went to school at Dallas MediaTech Institute to get my recording engineering degree in 2009. In 2015 I started.II productions, so I could sign, manage, control my intellectual rights as an artist. I offer so many services. From recording to songwriting, production, etc.. so if you are looking for someone with a lot of driving passion about music, then I’m your perfect fit. Now the epilepsy festival is designed to help bring knowledge and awareness to a stigma in the world. We are trying to get people to stand up and realize that epilepsy is just as important as all the other diseases in the world.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I remember having to present for the first time my ideas for the epilepsy festival. I went to the crypto center and pitched my idea. They told me no I remember being so upset, but I didn’t wanna quit either, so I kept going and along the way I got more contacts and I would if they would have just giving it to me. I’m glad i embraced the no’s with grace. It made a better experience and taught me a lot of stuff along the way.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I remember coming to LA not knowing anyone. All I had was my businesses, and they were stagnant. I met William Correa the cofounder of HNDP. He showing me a lot about the politics of the businesses In was in once I applied them. I started seeing changes matches in my businesses, but within myself. It made me a lot more hungrier to see the results.
