We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Staci Moore a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Staci, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you tell us a bit about who your hero is and the influence they’ve had on you?
Everyone has a hero they look up to, someone they admire and aspire to be like. But for me, my hero is not some famous celebrity, historical icon, or even a well-known athlete. No, my hero is none other than my former self – yes, you read that right – I am my own hero!
Now, I understand that may sound a bit odd, but please hear me out. My hero is not who I am now, but rather the person I used to be – the one who struggled, failed, and made mistakes, but never gave up. The one who pushed through the tough times, learned from their mistakes, and emerged stronger on the other side.
As I look back on my journey, I can see the progress I’ve made. When I first started out, I was inexperienced and unsure of myself. I had a lot to learn, and I wasn’t confident in my abilities. But I persevered, kept going, and learned from every setback. And over time, I began to see improvements in myself. I became more confident, more skilled, and more successful.
The lessons I’ve learned from my hero are numerous, and they’ve made a significant impact on my life. First and foremost, I’ve realized that the most significant competition in life is not with others, but with oneself. I am always striving to be better than I was yesterday, to learn more, and to improve my skills. I’m not trying to compete with anyone else – I’m only competing with myself.
Secondly, I’ve learned that it’s crucial to take risks and try new things. My hero was never afraid to try something new, even if it meant risking failure. Failure was never a reason to quit or give up, but instead an opportunity to learn and grow. And this mindset has helped me immensely in my own journey.
Another valuable lesson I’ve learned from my hero is the importance of resilience. Life is full of challenges and setbacks, but it’s how we respond to them that matters. My hero never gave up in the face of adversity, but instead rose to the challenge and overcame it. And this has inspired me to do the same.
Lastly, I’ve learned the importance of self-reflection and self-improvement. My hero was always striving to be better, to learn more, and to improve their skills. And this is a mindset that I’ve adopted as well. I’m always looking for ways to improve myself, to learn from my mistakes, and to become a better version of myself.
Speaking of relevant stories or anecdotes, many come to mind. One that stands out is a time when I faced a challenging situation in my career. I felt uncertain about how to proceed, and I was overwhelmed and discouraged. But then, I remembered my hero and how they faced challenges head-on and never gave up. This inspired me to push through the difficulty and come out stronger on the other side.
My hero is not some famous celebrity or historical figure. Instead, my hero is none other than my former self – the person who struggled, failed, and made mistakes but never gave up. And the lessons I’ve learned from my hero have made an enormous impact on my life. I’ve learned the importance of competing with myself, taking risks, being resilient, and always striving to be better.

How to Keep in Touch with Clients and Foster Brand Loyalty
Here are just a few things that I keep in mind:
Building a strong relationship with clients is crucial to the success of any business. Not only can it lead to repeat business and referrals, but it can also help foster brand loyalty. Here are some strategies for keeping in touch with clients and building lasting relationships:
Communication is Key
One of the most important strategies for keeping in touch with clients is to maintain regular communication. This can include sending newsletters, personalized emails, or even making phone calls. It’s important to make sure the communication is relevant and useful to the client, so they feel valued and engaged with your brand.
Personalization
Another effective way to foster brand loyalty is through personalization. By collecting data on your clients, such as their interests and preferences, you can tailor your communication to their specific needs. This can include personalized emails, targeted marketing campaigns, or even customized products or services.
Social Media Engagement
Social media can also be a powerful tool for building relationships with clients. By engaging with your clients on social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, you can foster brand loyalty and create a sense of community around your brand. This can include sharing client success stories, responding to client feedback, or even running social media campaigns.
Events and Promotions
Hosting events and promotions is another effective strategy for keeping in touch with clients and fostering brand loyalty. This can include hosting customer appreciation events, running loyalty programs, or offering exclusive discounts or promotions. These events and promotions can not only help you retain current clients, but they can also help attract new clients.
Follow-up and Feedback
Following up with clients after a sale or service is also an important strategy for building relationships and fostering brand loyalty. This can include sending follow-up emails, conducting surveys, or even making personal phone calls. By listening to your clients’ feedback and addressing any concerns they may have, you can show them that you value their opinion and care about their satisfaction.
Keeping in touch with clients and fostering brand loyalty is a key part of building a successful business. By maintaining regular communication, personalizing your communication, engaging with clients on social media, hosting events and promotions, and following up with feedback, you can build lasting relationships with your clients and position your business for long-term success.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Word of Mouth Referrals: The Most Effective Strategy for Growing My Clientele Growing a client base is a key objective for any business looking to increase revenue and achieve long-term success. While there are many strategies that can be effective in growing your clientele, one of the most powerful and sustainable is word of mouth referrals.
The Power of Word of Mouth Referrals
Word of mouth referrals are recommendations from satisfied customers to their friends, family, and colleagues. These referrals can be incredibly powerful because they are based on personal experience and trust, which can be difficult to establish through traditional marketing and advertising.
According to a study by Nielsen, 92% of consumers trust recommendations from friends and family over any other type of advertising. This means that by focusing on word of mouth referrals, you can tap into a highly influential marketing channel that can help you grow your client base quickly and sustainably.
How to Encourage Word of Mouth Referrals
Encouraging word of mouth referrals can be a highly effective strategy for growing your clientele. Here are some tips for maximizing the power of word of mouth referrals:
Deliver Exceptional Service
The foundation of any successful word of mouth referral strategy is delivering exceptional service to your clients. By providing high-quality products or services, excellent customer service, and going above and beyond to meet the needs of your clients, you can create a positive experience that your clients will be more likely to share with others.
Ask for Referrals
Don’t be afraid to ask your satisfied clients for referrals. Many people are happy to share their positive experiences with others, but may not think to do so unless prompted. Make sure to ask for referrals at the appropriate time, such as after a successful project or service delivery.
Incentivize Referrals
Another effective way to encourage word of mouth referrals is to offer incentives to your clients. This can include discounts on future services, gift cards, or other rewards. By incentivizing referrals, you can create a win-win situation where your clients are rewarded for their loyalty, and you can benefit from new business.
Make it Easy to Refer
Finally, make it as easy as possible for your clients to refer others to your business. This can include providing referral cards or links that they can easily share with others, or even setting up a referral program that automates the process.
Conclusion
Word of mouth referrals are a highly effective strategy for growing your clientele, and should be a key part of any marketing and growth strategy. By focusing on delivering exceptional service, asking for referrals, incentivizing referrals, and making it easy to refer, you can tap into the power of word of mouth to achieve sustainable growth and success.
