Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stacey Roberts. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stacey, appreciate you joining us today. If you’re open to it, can you talk to us about the best (or worst) investment you’ve made. What’s the backstory and the relevant context behind why you made the investment
The best investment I’ve ever made was in myself. It can be difficult to take that step, but by investing in myself I was making a declaration of faith, support, and love for myself and my vision.
In everything I do, I want to be the very best. Becoming the best in anything takes time, determination, and financial investment. I’ve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars (this is no exaggeration) on degrees, formal training, certifications, masterminds, private coaching, and grooming because I want to be the best.
I remember hiring my very first business coach; it was the hardest 10k I’ve ever spent. I was still skeptical about my abilities as an entrepreneur and my ability to secure high-tickets clients and make them happy. Every investment since has been easier, because that initial investment proved to me that no one would ever be willing to pay me 10k to work with me if I wasn’t willing to pay myself 10k first. It wasn’t long after hiring that coach and implementing what I had learned that I got my very first high-ticket client.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am an Integrative Image Strategist, using the power of self-care and style to help female solopreneurs look and feel amazing, and attract upscale clientele. I began as a certified etiquette instructor and later expanded my services to busy professional women.
I am most proud of the breakthroughs my clients are able to achieve. when they sign up to work with me they believe they are hiring a stylist. By the time our work is done, they realize just how much more I bring to the table. In fact, a recent client told me, “Stacey, you are the therapist I never knew I needed.”
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Word of mouth and social media. I try to keep a very consistent social media presence. I’m constantly thinking of ways to create valuable content. My very first client was a client of one of my IG followers, and that is how we connected. If you stay true to your message and put it out there enough for others to see, your clients will find you.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
My email list and advertising have been a great source of new clients for me. I stay engaged with my list and the value I give them via email helps me to build trust, and I establish myself as a leader in my field. I get many leads daily just from staying in touch and engaging the members of my email list.
