Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stacey Paige. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stacey, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
There was absolutely a defining moment in my career – a moment that completely shifted the trajectory of my life. For years, I worked as a high-end event planner in New York City. On the surface, I was the picture of success – managing glamorous events, earning a great income, and living what many would consider a dream life. But inside, it was a very different story.
I was always stressed, my relationships were dysfunctional, and I had no joy in my life. I pushed and muscled my way through each day, operating on sheer willpower, disconnected from my own voice and wisdom. It was like I was riding a high-speed train, determined to keep it on the tracks no matter the cost.
And then the train slammed into a brick wall. My body gave out completely. I became so sick that I couldn’t get out of bed. I was drained of energy, unable to even take care of basic tasks. What followed were months of endless tests – weekly blood draws, a bone marrow extraction, MRIs and countless doctors – and yet, no one could give me answers. Finally, they told me I’d likely be bedridden for life.
That moment broke something in me – but it also sparked something else. I knew deep down it didn’t need to be that way, and I wasn’t going to accept that as my reality. I embarked on a journey to heal.
One of the first things I was intuitively led to was yoga, and it became my lifeline. I slowly balanced and rebuilt not just my body, but my mind and spirit. I was so passionate about the transformation I experienced that I enrolled in a two-year teacher training program.
That experience changed everything. What started as a way to heal myself became the foundation for my purpose. It led me away from event planning and into a career that’s aligned with my soul. Now, as a spiritual life coach and yoga instructor, I get to guide and support others toward healing and empowerment – helping them to find their strength, embody their power and create meaningful lives of their own design.
It’s work that fills me with gratitude every single day.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I believe every person has within them everything they need to create a life of meaning, purpose, and joy. The answers we seek aren’t somewhere “out there”—they’re already inside us. My work is about helping people access that inner wisdom, reconnect with their true selves, and create a life that aligns with their deepest values and desires.
Like many of my clients, I know what it feels like to live out of alignment. On the surface, my life once looked successful and put-together, but inside, I was overwhelmed, disconnected, and stuck in patterns that didn’t serve me. Eventually, life brought me to a breaking point, forcing me to stop, reevaluate, and rebuild from the ground up. That journey into healing and self-discovery changed everything for me, and it’s what inspired me to do this work.
Today, I offer one-on-one coaching and self-paced online courses to support people who are navigating their own call-to-action moments. Whether they’re healing from trauma, stepping into big life changes, or simply seeking more meaning and fulfillment, I guide them in tapping into the answers they already hold within.
What sets me apart is my holistic approach. I blend spiritual principles, practical tools, and lived experience to meet clients where they are and guide them to where they want to be. This work isn’t about fixing anyone—it’s about empowering people to recognize their wholeness and step boldly into the life they’re meant to live.
What I’m most proud of is watching my clients awaken to their own power. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone reconnect with their truth, step into their authenticity, and create a life that feels deeply aligned and meaningful.
If you’re reading this, I want you to know: You already have everything you need within you. The answers, the wisdom, the courage—it’s all there. My work is simply to help you uncover it. Together, we can create a life that reflects the very best of who you are.
If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
That’s a really great question. It’s interesting for me to reflect on, because in many ways I feel like it chose me. My journey to becoming a spiritual life coach and yoga instructor was far from a straight path. It was a long, winding road through peaks and valleys – full of lessons that shaped who I am today. When I first entered college, I chose psychology as my major, thinking I wanted to help people in a traditional sense. I spent a day shadowing a social worker, accompanying her to hospitals and halfway houses. That experience was eye-opening. I found myself so deeply affected by the struggles of others that I couldn’t emotionally separate myself from their pain. It consumed me, and quite honestly crippled me. I realized I wasn’t equipped at that point in my life to support others in a healthy, sustainable way, so I pivoted and changed my major to hotel and restaurant management.
But life has a way of guiding us back to our purpose. My varied experiences, both personal and professional, were all stepping stones leading me to where I am now. Facing my own challenges, pain, trauma, and moments of feeling lost taught me the invaluable lesson that our struggles don’t define us; they shape us. They’re the crucible through which we become stronger, more resilient, and more compassionate versions of ourselves.
I needed to live through my own journey, to grow into the person who could hold space for others and guide them through their transformation. So yes, I’d absolutely choose this profession again, though I don’t think I ever consciously chose it to begin with. It was just the natural progression of me living my purpose, and I’m grateful that I answered the call.
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Training and education are certainly incredibly important – they provide the foundational tools, techniques and understanding necessary for this work. But what I think is critical for success is the wisdom that only life experience can bring.
It’s one thing to understand concepts and modalities on an intellectual level, but it’s entirely different to embody them and integrate them into real life. People seek life coaches who truly understand – who can hold space for them with kindness and compassion, while also holding them accountable. That delicate balance is what enables clients to create meaningful change and succeed in the ways they desire.
To do this, you must meet people where they are, and help them see what they can’t yet see for themselves – their strength, power and potential. I believe our ability to guide others comes from moving through our own pain and adversity. It is through walking our own path of transformation that we develop depth, empathy and insight to help others do the same.
