We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Stacey Kimber. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Stacey below.
Stacey, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
My biggest risk was quitting my government secure job of 13 years to work for myself full time. My husband and I have six children in the home with us and several responsibilities financially so there was much to discuss and consider. With his and my mothers support/blessings to leave my job to work for myself after much prayer I did it and it was the best decision I could have ever made for myself and my family. It gave me more time with my family, more time to focus on what my business needed to be successful and I am thankful to God for His help in sustaining us

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
How I got started in the industry was back in 2005 I started to take my own health seriously. I was 384 lbs and very unhealthy. From that time to about 2012 I had tried and done SO MANY things and lost 200 pounds. My coworkers at the time would consistently ask me to help them also and so I went to Ashworth College and received my Personal Trainer Certification and then my Fitness & Exercise certification. That was the first of many things I did to further my knowledge on the body, what it was designed to do and my first start to helping people Reach their goals.
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
I think what makes me stand out or different is because I tried so many things to help along my journey and I had no one to ask questions or to help, that is my complete desire to be for others. For anyone trying anything from the holistic way, to hiring a nutritionist, to seeking medical help, to doing it just on my own all of it I’ve tried. I can give my clients a blueprint of hope for how I was and how I am and help them to get there if they can commit to patience and consistency

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
I absolutely would. My only regret is finding my purpose in my mid to late 30’s. I feel like I wasted a lot of years just living life going to work to live pay check to paycheck and not doing what I was truly created to do. Had I known then what I know Now I could have helped so many more people along my path but I also Believe everything happens for a Reason so it just wasn’t time
