Stacey , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you manage your own social media?
Social media is a huge passion of mine! I manage my own as well as help other business owners maximize their social presence. We often see social media as this toxic and daunting thing, and in over consumption it totally can be- but using it ethically and responsibly we can flood the online space with various passions.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a social media content creator around the topics of fashion, lifestyle, and self confidence. I share my passion of styling outfits and providing others with fashion inspiration so they can find their own personal style. Personal style is so important to individual confidence in my opinion and I use my clothes to express myself, and want to inspire others to do the same.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I’ve had to unlearn would be following “fashion rules”. This goes all the way back to my fashion merchandising college days but THERE ARE NO RULES IN FASHION! I cannot stress that enough. Fashion represents so many things from zeitgeist to self expression. I firmly believe in wearing what makes you happy and feel good!
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
This year, early January I found out that I was pregnant. I was so excited to find out that I was going to be a mom, but a little anxious about still dressing cute and keeping my style while still appreciating my pregnant body. This is something that also affected what type of fashion content I would be sharing but in the end it paid off. Showing my followers you can still be trendy and sexy while pregnant even landed me some brand deals and I was so honored.
