Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stacey Field. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stacey, appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Four years ago, I stood in the doorway of my newly opened yoga studio, heart pounding and palms sweating. I had no prior business experience, just a vision and a deep love for the practice of yoga. Teaching my first class on opening day was both thrilling and terrifying. The room filled with expectant faces, all seeking something…connection, balance, community, a good workout… I stumbled over my words at first, but as we flowed through poses, I found my rhythm, and a spark of confidence ignited within me, along with a passion I’d never before experienced.
Fast forward to today, and that studio represents a pivotal chapter in my life. It was the first time I had taken a leap of faith. After 20 years as a special needs teacher, I reached a breaking point. Burnout had crept in, leaving me drained and questioning whether I could continue. With a heavy heart, I decided to leave the security of my teaching job.
Instead of clinging to what I knew, I chose to embrace the unknown. I earned my advanced yoga teacher certification, deepening my practice and expanding my studio offerings. Yet, another dream lingered in the back of my mind—a dream rooted in childhood.
I’ve always loved houses. As a middle schooler, I’d accompany my mom to the Parade of Homes, marveling at the architecture, imagining the stories that could unfold within each space. That fascination never faded, and it became clear that real estate was the next chapter of my journey.
Becoming a real estate broker was scary. Leaving a steady paycheck and benefits for an entirely new career was terrifying. But I soon realized the freedom and fulfillment I craved were worth the risk. Now, every day feels like a fresh opportunity—not just to survive, but to truly live.
I get to help people find their dream homes while nurturing my own passions. The lessons I’ve learned, from teaching special needs students to guiding yoga classes, have shaped the way I connect with others in this new field. And while the path hasn’t been easy, it’s been undeniably rewarding.
I’m no longer defined by burnout or the fear of change. Instead, I’m inspired by the possibilities ahead, grateful for the courage it took to bet on myself, and eager to see where this life of intention and passion will lead next.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
At Humbled Warriors Yoga, I’ve put together an amazing team of instructors who truly set us apart. Each teacher brings a wealth of experience many with advanced certifications, ensuring that our students receive the highest level of guidance and support. I’ve found that being both a yoga studio owner and a real estate broker works seamlessly because I’m doing what I love. When you’re passionate about your work, you’re able to give your best to both, and each role complements the other in unexpected ways. It’s a balancing act, but one that’s incredibly rewarding as I get to help people find peace and purpose in both their homes and their lives.
Now, as a real estate broker with DeLille HOME, my focus is on guiding people through the home buying and selling process. We provide a full-service, elevated experience, taking care of every detail to ensure a seamless and stress-free journey. It’s an incredible feeling to help someone find their ideal home—a place where they can build their life and make memories. I love where I live, and it’s deeply rewarding to help others discover their own perfect space in this community. Every transaction is more than a sale; it’s a chance to make a meaningful impact in someone’s life.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was the belief that as a teacher, I was limited to just that role—that I was somehow “stuck” in my career. For years, I had defined myself by my job, thinking that teaching was all I could do. But as I started to explore other passions, I realized I was capable of much more. The shift came when I recognized that I could trust myself to evolve. The yoga philosophy of trust, or Shraddha, teaches us to believe in our ability to navigate change with confidence. I had to unlearn the idea that I was bound to a single path and embrace the truth that I could pursue new dreams—whether it was opening a yoga studio or becoming a real estate broker. Once I trusted in myself and my potential, everything else fell into place, and I became a business owner, thriving in ways I never imagined possible.

Have you ever had to pivot?
COVID was an incredibly challenging time for my yoga studio as it was for all small businesses. The uncertainty and constant changes meant I had to continuously pivot just to stay open. From shifting classes online to navigating health regulations, it felt like I was always adjusting to a new reality. That’s when I realized I needed help to truly move forward. I hired a business consultant, and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. She taught me how to run a profitable business, from marketing to finances, and her guidance gave me the tools to build a solid foundation for long-term success. It also gave me the confidence to keep pushing forward, even when everything else seemed uncertain.
