We recently connected with Spidey De Montrond and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Spidey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a singer-songwriter, musician, arranger and producer. My group is The Gentle Orchestra it has been my focus of work since 2021 with the release of “Synonymity” has been garnering great praise. I entered into the record business / show biz officially as a songwriting professional / recording artist in December 1996 while attending college, but before that I had been working professionally as side-man, hired hand i.e. guitarist since 89. All the while developing my song writing and arranging skills. One of the things that aided me in navigating the legal aspect of the business is I read 3 music business books before I was signed to my deal in 96 to Capitol Records. This was tremendously helpful with contracts, legal jargon so forth. I am most proud of The Gentle Orchestra is stands up to the great music that has come before and I feel there are some evergreen tunes on the album.
The songs span many genres pop-rock, indie, folk, jazz and rock. It pulls inspiration from the analogue era of 40’s,60’s and 70’s harkening sounds of The Beatles, Harry Nilsson, Todd Rudgren, Pink Flyod, Love, Glen Miller and Brill Building songcraft.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being open to magic and knowing when it’s happening

How did you build your audience on social media?
I buy them through PR firms it’s the oldest method.
