Great question. The legacy that I want to leave behind is that I worked diligently and reverently to make sure that women all over the world felt good about themselves, loved who they say when they looked in the mirror and how life’s situations didn’t define who they were. I hope that through this business, I am able to given women a new outlook on life and what it has left to offer.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a world-wide, celebrity wig maker from Memphis, Tn. Ive been fortunate enough to work with some really beautiful celebrities and collaborate with some amazing partnerships. I provide luxury affordable wigs with quality raw extensions. I have been a full time business owner since 2018.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Hair has always been my first love. For so many years I ran from it full-time and would only do it on the weekends. I was a middle school English teacher for 15 years. In 2018, I started making wigs from a bet of one of my friends. I posted it online and they people went crazy. What started out as something between friends, has now flourished into a multi-six figure business.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
consistency and great customer service has been the been the driving force behind the growth of A_SpecialUnits. Word of mouth and references has been the support and growth that I’ve been fortunate enough to experience. If nothing else, I do my very best to provide the best customer service to all of my customers. Because of this, they have really been the increase in clientele from beginning til now.
