Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sophonie Blanc. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sophonie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I always had the gift for marketing. Before I started my business in marketing I would always help small businesses promote, create content and assisted with what I eventually learned was SEO. I always have gotten great results and decided why not start this as a business. I donated a lot of my passion to help grow creatives and also applied it to my own music. In 2020 i decided to start a business in marketing and also provide entertainment as a bonus. I went and took a marketing class at Yale University and completed. I took on some industry professionals and gained success. I walked in my purpose and today I can share my wisdom.
Sophonie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Sophonie Blanc. I provide marketing services focusing on SEO, social media platforms and content creations. I provide live entertainment and write jingles for small business. I am also a songwriter and have collab the two to create a non stop shop for small businesses and creatives. I always had the gift to bring brand awareness. So taking classes at Yale University was the smartest decision for me. Since completing, I have enhanced my knowledge, I have applied to my own business and begin to network and venture out. My success stories are endless. Having celebrity clients as well as small businesses, teaching why marketing is important, speaking at conferences, creating marketing plans and watching everything grow beyond the expectations has been an awarding experience.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Funding a business isn’t easy. Staring off as a new business and coming in with not enough clients to support my overhead. Literally everything went back into my business.
I was fortunate enough to be able to work in my field. Providing marketing and content creation for several companies and making a decent income. I had great success at the companies I worked for. My dream was to create a business for myself to provide an affordable service for start ups, small businesses and creatives. The first year I invested 2500.00 a month for my business. Some days I wanted to quit but my determination, faith, encouragement from family, while standing in my purpose kept my grounded.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Unfortunately, in my story of success I had some unhappy moments. I had to learn that in business some friendships will not continue. I had to unlearn that not everyone is to understand your journey.
