We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sophia Riley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Sophia , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I knew there was something more out there for me
I was a dental assistant for 15 years but wasn’t fulfilled in my career. I knew I wanted something better for myself something that I strived for everyday to be a better person and still proved an income for my family.
I have been told my whole life that I have a gift of transforming homes into Organized beautiful spaces. This last year I dived into my passion and the feeling of happiness in my life has been such a blessing. I guess you could say there’s no turning back.
My mission is to transform people’s spaces from from crazy, stressed, clutter filled into beautiful, simple, organized places of freedom. Everyone’s story is different but the clearing of things helps to give confidence going forward into your next Chapter.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi, Everyone
I’m Sophia, wife and mother of two. I am born and raised in MN, we live in a small cabin town not far from the metro but still far enough away to be in the country surrounded by lakes.
My passion for helping others and Organizing has been something I was born doing. As a little girl I would organize my toys and rearrange my furniture. Changing up a space always gives me the most joy and since of accomplishment.
I started Simplicity Organization MN in to hopes of helping other people mostly Mother’s like myself find some peace in their homes with building systems to maintain stress free-spaces.
When clients reach out I provide a Free consultation to connect and talk vision, it’s important to get a feel of how this area is used, how many people use the space and what feeling come up that aren’t serving your home.
More clutter the better, I want people to know this is a judge-free zone, don’t feel ashamed or embarrassed to open your doors, this is why I love being of service to guide and build confidence going forward.
Everyone’s vision is different but I am able to provide elimination of items, sorting them into systems, containing them into products and labels for function and beauty.
Are you moving? I provide help with packing, unpacking and organizing into the new home, or help realtors get homes on the market faster and draw potential buys with a vision.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I would have to say the best source of new clients is…
Not being afraid to put my self out there and providing the best customer service possible.
I feel like todays world everything is fast and automated, and that can be great for somethings but providing a one on one service you need to give a wonderful experience that your client will never forget. In return makes your client want to tell everyone about YOU! I feel wonderful giving my best to my clients making sure their expectations are heard, knowing they are fully satisfied, there is no price you can put on the connection between two people solving a problem.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I have had to unlearn is..
Not staying true to yourself.
If you don’t make yourself happy in life you can’t provide, care or thrive in all aspects of life until you are truly happy.
Every time I have ignored my needs I have suffered and so did everyone around me. When I was doing a job that didn’t also serve me I was hurting
When I wasn’t taking care of my health I was hurting and everyone around me was also.
When I ignore my home/spaces, I was hurting myself and my family also.
Our bodies and houses are homes and putting yourself first can’t be ignored or everything suffers.
Stay true to what makes you happy
