We recently connected with Sonysha Sangare and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sonysha, thanks for joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
The risk that I took is going to New York City for a model gig while being homeless, and it turned out to be great, because almost 2 years later, I am moved into my first brand new two bedroom apartment and is able to continue my journey of a influencer model artist.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi, my name is Sonysha sangre and I am a Musical Artist • Model • Spiritual Advisor • Author, Choreographer • Visual Artist • Health and Wellness guide I create timeless music that heals I guide people with wisdom and inspire others to be the best version of them. Self through example. I had two major weight loss transformations the first time I lost weight I lost 70 pounds within eight months or naturally and then I had a baby and gained it back and lost 90 pounds within one year or naturally, I am living proof that no matter what happens to you in life you can always get up and be the best version of you. I create paintings drawings that inspires others in a creative way. I wrote poetry and books documenting my journey. I am also a Vlogger that documents my journey on YouTube I have gained over 100,000 followers because of my influence I offer weight loss products. My brand is unique because it’s a reflection of me and a documentation of my life. I am not here to control my followers, but to create a space where they feel safe to express and be their true selves through an example of me, expressing my true self, and being my true self.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
The best thing society can do to support artists is give them resources to create. create spaces where artists can express themselves authentically and create what is in their mind and heart I believe if there were more accessible grants to artists that has potential artwork and progress, they will thrive more because an artist in survival is not the best version of them self but when an artist is supported financially, they cannot thrive to create art projects that can heal and expire other people

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I was homeless for about three years before I moved into my first apartment I am 19 and been homeless since 16. I’ve been bullied my childhood and had trauma that needed to be healed which caused me to be resentful and angry so I left my home to see what the world is like and I found out that it was harder than I thought, but I knew that I could thrive because of the net worth that I have obtained and the support of my fans and the vision that I saw for myself always push me to go to the next level. I stayed in a shelter for nine months with my one year old and we moved into our first brand new two bedroom apartment in Brooklyn New York .
