Sonya , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

Edgy Dolls won’t be distracted by comparison because we are captivated with PURPOSE!“

I originally started my company because of my love for hair extensions and how they make me feel when wearing them. I am a very driven and hard-working woman. I wanted women, to whom I relate, to feel and look beautiful while conquering all their goals and dreams. I personally do not compare myself or my company to anyone else because I am too driven with my purpose to be concerned. While I am conquering my goals my hair will look amazing while doing it. Speaking of goals, one of them is to show women in Corporate America they can look good in a corporate setting. I sometimes feel like there is a stigma for women to dumb their look down to be taken seriously and I do not believe in that. I will always look good, stay focused on my purpose and WIN! That’s what Edgy Tresses was built on and promotes!

To all the women out there buy you some good hair extensions and go take over the world. Never second guess yourself! Never Compare Yourself! Focus on you and your purpose. Tunnel Vision plus Great Hair and Purpose equals Unstoppable!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers?

My name is Sonya Jackson. I am originally from Memphis, TN and I lived in Atlanta, GA for 15 years. Atlanta is where I began my obsession (lol) with hair extensions. I am also a real estate agent. I started my career in Atlanta and upon moving back home to Memphis in 2018 I decided to share my knowledge and love for hair extensions with the women of Memphis.

I launched Edgy Tresses in May 2018. We are based out of Memphis, TN but ship all over the United States. We are 100% online only. We sell all textures of hair extensions, frontals, and closures. We offer micro link hair as well and will be adding our Raw Hair Line this year. In 2021, I launched Edgy Cosmetics. Our first product we launched was our top-selling Lip Gloss. I am so proud of this cosmetic line and eager to see how our consumers react to our new products that will be added.

The amazing thing about Edgy Tresses is the growth from word of mouth. Our product really sells itself. Once you wear Edgy Tresses trust you will be a returning consumer because our products separate us from others.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Great products and great customer service! Finding a great product did not come easy and I would like people to understand that. Given that I have been wearing hair extensions for so long and I very rarely tie my hair up. I am the perfect product guinea pig. Once you have a product you are truly ready to stand behind next is customer service. One thing that my consumers appreciate is our company’s customer service. These 2 things have truly built Edgy Tresses reputation and brand.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

We are on all social media but the best source for our new clients is the old-school word of mouth. Our consumers look so good in our products people ask them about their hair, and lip color, which in turn helps spread the word of our company.
