We were lucky to catch up with Sonshyne Morton recently and have shared our conversation below.
Sonshyne, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
Well I have been singing since I was 3 years old in the church choir. As my father is a pastor in Oxford NC. I was born missing fingers and toes from a condition called Streeters dyslexia. I have always loved to sing but never really wanted to be famous. I truly just wanted to be an inspiration to let people know there are no limits to what you can do. The only limits anyone has are the limits you put on yourself or the ones you allow others to put on you.

Sonshyne, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have never been considered handicapped and never had limits. I am grateful to my mom and dad for never letting me feel sorry for myself. My mom would tell you that I have an “I’ll do complex” lol. By the time I was 11 I wanted to go to Showtime at the Apollo but the week I suppose to have gone to NY for the show my mom got sick so I never went. But I was blessed with many opportunities to sing background for many famous artist and to do shows everywhere around the globe singing as an inspirational artist. I love to sing gospel music but love all music.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Inspiring others to live beyond anyones expectations!!! No limits

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
The bible has been my biggest inspiration
