Sonja , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

I launched my business Love Bananas LLC with a passion for organic, vegan and healthy frozen treats. So Love Bananas Popsicles was created under my brand. The idea of Love Bananas Popsicles came from my upbringing having grandparents as farmers, so I understand quality ingredients for my products and I definitely incorporate the best ingredients in my popsicles. The name came from an epiphany one night, my mother always had bananas on our table and any kind of treat always involved bananas, so my mother’s love for this fruit started it all.

Sonja , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I’m a country girl, grew up in East Texas. My passion for entrepreneurship started as a young child, always following my dad around and eventually obtained my Masters in Business Administration. My brand has three key components.. Vegan, Organic and Low Calorie. These three components are important to me because as we age, we all want to do it gracefully so being kind to your body and what you put in it, is and was my main drivers for Love Bananas Popsicles.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

My life has not always been easy. I’ve had plenty failures in life. Since obtaining my Masters degree and loosing my father in 2016, I’ve been laid off so many times I’ve lost count. So starting my business was always delayed because survival was my main priority at the time. During the COVID-19 pandemic I started my business with what I had in my bank account, closed my eyes and trusted God. One year and two months later, I survived to share my story on this wonderful platform. I AM GRATEFUL

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to unlearn the fear of failure. Once you change your mindset to achieve no matter what, everything such as your fears become very small
