We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sonia Espinoza. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sonia below.
Hi Sonia, thanks for joining us today. Quality control is a challenge almost every entrepreneur has had to focus on when growing – any advice, stories or insight around how to best ensure quality is maintained as your business scales?
In my industry, it can be easy to become overwhelmed with the number of clients you receive. I always try to make sure I have every detail personalized for my clients – once you become to overwhelmed it can be easy to not provide the attention and care you would like. I never want to become a number person, I love knowing each and every one of my clients and their personal interests. Maintaining that high level customer service, I think, sets me apart.
Sonia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I went to school for film at The University of Texas at Austin. After working several years in film, I took up photography as well. I instantly fell in love with wedding photography in 2016. It was the perfect amount of problem solving, emotional connection and fast paced thinking that my brain needs! I love being able to capture special memories for my clients. Once in a lifetime memories that will last forever.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Networking is such a vital component in any industry. I can’t stress enough how much networking has helped me grow in each of my fields. I always strive to make friends in every area of the wedding industry because that’s who will refer you in the future. That’s who will ask for your help when they need it and hopefully vise-versa. I’ve met so many interesting people and made so many lasting friendships through networking.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
With something so personal as we wedding, I try to make sure I’m available to my clients with any little questions they may have. I also try to be involved in their plans just to make sure they know they can reach out to me with any help they may need. I mentioned before but I don’t see my clients as a another number, I truly try to get to know them. It makes the journey a lot easier when I know what my clients value.
