Song, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
This video goes more into detail https://youtu.be/YDoP1rpvZkg but the biggest risk I have taken is leaving my job without a plan. I always knew I was supposed to be a business owner but didn’t know how to do it and I knew having a regular job kept me in my comfort zone of not pushing me to get started. My job became increasingly difficult and I began looking for another job and I was so adamant that I was leaving I put in my 2-week notice before I confirmed my new position. Leaving that job without having another to fall back on was the scariest thing I ever did but I’m so happy I did it. After leaving I started focusing on making my keepsake videos and figuring out what I wanted my business to look like. From doing keepsake videos people started inquiring who did my content and started requesting my services to do their content. Now I have clients that range from graphic design services to social media management to podcast/video editing.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Many business owners are good at creating products and services but don’t have the time to create captivating content for social media. That’s where we come in. We have three major services:

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
PIVOT!!! That is a phenomenal word that was transformational in the growth of my business. Since I’m a 4-time author and motivational speaker I assumed that I needed to start a coaching business. Afterall, I loved helping people and they always came to me for advice, so I figured it was the right direction. However, no matter how hard I tried I wasn’t making any headway in that area. So, in my spare time I kept making keepsake videos and receiving interest in those. It wasn’t until I really prayed and realized that sometimes in life a door isn’t opening because it’s not your door and you will miss your opportunity if you stay at the locked door when there’s another door waiting for you to walk through somewhere else. That is the power of learning to pivot into your purpose.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Most of my clients have come from referrals from other clients. I hardly have to do marketing because I feel like when you give customers excellent service and great quality of work it sells itself. My clients love the services I offer so much they are always telling others and sending them my way.
