We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Solomia Dolsey Viniar a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Solomia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have always been interested in art and history So naturally, I love to go to museums, galleries, and exhibitions
Because years ago I work mostly as a model I was connected with people from the art world as well
When I came to the USA I started to think I want somehow to start work with art
And it came to me because my friend artist from Ukraine had a desire to take part in Miami Art Basel and he needed some help, so I started to think about how to make it happen and also asked to help with this one more my friend who is a smart business manager, and involved on fashion business and she also has a big interest in art.
So this is how I found my business partner and started to be involved in Art.
At the moment we start our online gallery and helping young Ukrainian artists who want to bigger steps, participate in art fairs, etc.
Solomia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Our online gallery is called “ZaboraViniar gallery “. You can find us at Artsy It’s still a very new business
But I can tell that everything we are doing is coming from our love for art and we want to help the talented artists who deserve more and don’t know how to get into a bigger market
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I met my business partner Tatiana Zabora in Kyiv, Ukraine through a mutual friend in the cafe we have a nice talk and get each other’s contact and social media When a year or two after that I been in Milan and Tatiana randomly been where too so we met for a coffee
Two years after I came to Miami, Tatiana see me on Instagram and told me she is coming to Miami in two weeks, when she came we meet and become very friendly because we both don’t know a lot of people in Miami at that time. We started to realize we have a lot of similar interests. So when I found the artist I want to work with I came to Tatiana and ask her to get involved as well.
