Alright, Soleil thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I knew I wanted to pursue a creative path professionally since elementary school – I started singing and playing piano at 5 years old, and whenever someone asked me ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’ I responded with ‘a singer!’

In elementary school, I took any chance I got to sing or play piano during assemblies or events. The same goes for high school and college, and once I graduated with my bachelor’s degree, I auditioned to be a singer in a cover band.

Soleil, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’ve been involved in music since I was a child. In school, I always signed up for choirs (traditional, acapella, gospel) and competitions (solo or ensemble). I joined the professional entertainment scene around 2013 and have been growing and performing as a professional singer ever since. I’m also passionate about creating my own music – writing, producing, and releasing. I also songwrite for others on a professional level.

What sets me apart is my ability to perform, compose, and do vocal/general production.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I wish I had a mentor. Music is a tough industry and there is no single path to follow for guaranteed success. I got into it on the entertainment side rather than on the artist side – I’m extremely thankful that I’m able to monetize my talent but also wish I had someone to guide me on how to become a true creative with a plan and a strategy. I figured that out on my own, and now I offer that guidance to others.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

Freedom is my biggest metric – freedom in all forms. My first passion is music and singing, and that drives me every day to continue my journey, even when I don’t feel like doing it anymore. My goal is to tour and play big festival stages and have my original music sang back to me. I can’t imagine a greater feeling than that.
