Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Soberichs. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Soberichs, thanks for joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
Growing up, my mom and dad were instrumental in my up-bringing. Seeing and hearing my mom sing around the house and in church introduced me to singing. When my mom would take me over to my Grandma’s house or different places, my mom would always sing in the car in which she introduced me to singing, learning different melodies and harmonies; truly understanding the art of singing. Listening to Brian McKnight, Usher, Jon B, Tank, Tyrese, etc taught me a great deal about tone, depth, etc. So I deeply appreciate my mom with being so hands-on and instrumental in my music journey to where I am now.

Soberichs, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hello! My name is Soberichs, 2022 Grammy Considered Singer, who has emerged from the streets of Kansas City with my own sound musically that blends the urgency of modern day hip-hop with a smoother sound of alternative R&B. I started my journey singing at local Kansas City Rooftop Bar, Chicken-N-Pickle which was his very first show in 2020 to now Soberichs being featured on iHeartRadio (102.7 KIIS FM), performing at the iconic venue SOBs in New York City, another show in NYC at the Brooklyn Music Kitchen, and dropping my highly anticipated R&B album “Are We Good” October 28th. I am so appreciative of the people I have worked on this album with: Jazz Lazr, Ebby, Danny X, and Bam Keith and my features Jaas and John Concepcion. First and foremost, I give all praise to God above for providing me with these opportunities and blessings. It has not been an easy road at all. I face adversities every single day however, the blessings and opportunities I do receive, I am nothing less than grateful. I am so appreciative of my team, close family and friends.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Every single day. The interesting thing about social media is that people, fans and supporters only see the good. The accomplishments. What people, my fans/supporters don’t know is that I get the door slammed in my face a lot. Having that happen to me so many times, it is easy to stop and just give up. However, I can’t let myself down. My family and friends down. And most importantly God. I am here for a specific purpose and I can not give up due to “no’s”. I realized “no’s” really just means “this is not for you” or “it is not meant for you right now”. I’ve had to learn so much patience on this journey. To trust the course. I am here for a beautiful and meaningful purpose. Soon, I will explain everything clearly so people can truly understand what I go through in-depth. In due time. Maybe a documentary of some sort.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal and/or mission is to allow people, my fans/supporters to listen to my music, my interviews, and to connect with me and feel inspired to keep going and to feel loved and fulfilled. To listen to my music and feel they are not alone. To feel they are heard and respected. To feel appreciated. My musical inspirations that help inspire my songs/albums are Chris Brown, Giveon, Bryson Tiller, and so many more. I usually look to them for musical inspiration however, there are so many more amazing and talented artists that inspire me. I can’t wait for my new, current, and future supporters to enjoy my new album “Are We Good?” available for pre-order now and will be released Friday, October 28th.
