We recently connected with SnaxkBoy Boulé and have shared our conversation below.
SnaxkBoy, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I wouldn’t say early on, but maybe after i did a few live performances. I came to the realization years ago. That when people genuinely like you. They want to know what makes you, you. Other words. Hear stories that have never been told or known. Understand the reasons behind your actions & the way you are. Then hearing your music makes more sense & more relatable. Being told that listening to my music helps them get through certain situations in their life. Brings an indescribable feeling from within. It makes you wanna keep going because you’re not only helping yourself. You’re helping others.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m SnaxkBoy Boulé, of Three AM Records Inc., I was born & raised in Greenwood Sc, currently resides in the Upstate area of SC. I got into writing music when I was younger with my older brothers. Started making real use of the talent a couple years out of Highschool. Really started to slowly climb the ladder from there. I knew it was for me when I did my first live performance. I own my own music label. I always been into graphic designing since i was in school. I still do that from time to time. I’ve hosted countless events, been apart of many great events. Even started a clothing brand called Trvp Swim. “Getcha Merch” 2023! What I would say separates me from others would be my work ethics, strong mindset, seriousness, & being able to understand & adapt to situations. Honestly, I’m most proud of myself & everything I’ve accomplished over my music career. I had my low times just like any other artist, but I survived those times. It just made me go extra & apply more to myself & craft. Believe in yourself even if no one else does!
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I feel like society has to be more open to what the world is bringing to the table. The times have changed & so has the demand in some cases. New doors should be unlocked & opened for newer & different artists. There should be more art gallery shows with local art. More live music of all genres, not just one specific. I mean not just the smaller attractions that go unnoticed, but ones that can make a difference. Even if it’s slight. Give chances to the ones that are giving their all to pursues this career lifestyle. It’s far from easy.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I knew a lot of what I know business & marketing wise now, back then. It would have really helped in the campaign I’m running now. I don’t regret the process it took to get here. Because it reminds me of the growth that I have over the time spent developing my craft to what it is today.
