We recently connected with Skylar Edwards and have shared our conversation below.
Skylar, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
Something SkyyyBeautyyy offers thats different is, a personal experience with every client. The most complimented review is “this spa feels like home” you walk into some sort of sweet aroma. And has a quite personalized experience to each of the clients, We have put lots of time and effort into our education and knowledge about the services we provide. Making us specialist in our services lash extensions, permanent makeup, spray tanning and skin. offer the best high quality products in the industry that we have found creating not only a homely experience but your results are always incredible.
Skylar, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started in the beauty industry very young at the age of 16 doing your annual homecoming and prom makeup in a room my mom set up for me at our house. After high school in 2019 I got a lash certification that was a complete scam! I from there self taught from social media and the determination that this was what I wanted as career I am now a licensed cosmologist, esthetician and tattoo artist. Owning my own store front in Arnold MO, doing Lash Extensions Permanent Makeup, non permanent makeup and brow services. I also now teach students and offer lash certifications. My mom has now joined me as a licensed esthetician as our Spray tan artist and Skin specialist. We work as a mother daughter duo creating a luxury relaxing experience for our clients.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
In an interview setting, if asked about how to keep loyal clients coming back in the beauty industry, I would respond with the following: “Maintaining a loyal client base is crucial for any beauty business.
First and foremost, providing exceptional service is essential. This means personalizing the client experience by tailoring services to their unique needs and preferences. For instance, I make it a point to keep detailed notes on their previous treatments and preferences, which allows me to create a more personalized experience each time they visit.
Professionalism is also a key aspect; being punctual, courteous, and maintaining a clean environment goes a long way in making clients feel valued.
Building strong relationships is another critical component. I prioritize open communication by regularly checking in with clients through follow-up emails or messages. This not only helps me understand their needs better but also shows them that I care about their experience. Additionally, showing appreciation through thank-you notes or special discounts can foster a sense of loyalty.
Staying updated with the latest trends and techniques is vital in the beauty industry. I make it a priority to attend workshops and training sessions to ensure that my skills and services remain current. Introducing new products or services regularly keeps the offerings fresh and exciting for clients.
Creating a memorable atmosphere is also important. I focus on ensuring that the salon has a welcoming ambiance, whether through soothing music or unique touches like complimentary drinks. These small details can create a lasting impression.
Finally, I actively solicit feedback from my clients to understand their expectations better. By demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement based on their input, I can adjust my services to meet their evolving needs.
Overall, by combining exceptional service, strong relationships, innovative offerings, and a focus on client experience, I believe that we can cultivate a loyal client base that feels appreciated and eager to return.”
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
