We recently connected with Skeet Watts and have shared our conversation below.
Skeet , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
My love for music has always been there, so that was the initial spark, very shortly after, i fell in love with the Hustle. If you need it, i could get it. And that grew with age from a simple hustle to an actual business. Endless Summer was born as a “Management” company, because like i said, i could middle man ANY situation. I then added the merchandise, because every brand that people that i knew liked, you would see them in their clothes. Endless Summer Apparel was born and now is one of the most notarized independent streetwear brands. Back to music being my first love, Brian “Birdman” Williams being my favorite hustler, Endless Summer Music Group was born. I spent some time working under Young Money / Cash Money during one of Lil Wayne most epic runs from 2010-2014. I used the same blueprint that i saw that work over and over, and applied it to the Label and that was me planting two feet into the music industry and letting my peers know i was here to stay. Exactly one years into the label being up and running, i had a recording studio built. Shark Tank Studios. So it wasnt so much so figuring out what i wanted to do, but it was doing it at the right time and making it make sense. From the management, to the clothes, to the label to the studio, these were all things that i know i was going to do. Years before i had a management company, i had everything written down breaking down how my management company would be from top to bottom, laid out and just ready to plug and play. I’ve always been like that, i manaifest everything that i want and i make it happen, so if i say im gonna do it, in my head its definitely already done and more than likely its fully thought out on paper.

Skeet , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Daily problems i encounter with clients range from the smallest thing, to the biggest issue. Because we deal with so many different divisions, and moving parts, there is no way to really gage or give an average of the issues we face lol. To make a long answer very short, there is also a problem and we’re always up to the task of making it right!
The main thing that sets me apart from 99% of companies in my industry is the diversity and the fact that we are a “one-stop-shop”. Literally EVERYTHING is done in-house, we have enough departments and resources to complete a job, from start to finish without leaving the “camp”.
I am most proud of the brand visibility that we have gained from being so consistent. The brand is respected because of how we do business, how we leave our customers satisfied, how u can become apart if a family who has your best business intentions at heart. One band one Sound is one of our mantras.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
This is actually a great question lol. So the backbone of the company has always been the music side if things. As of very recent i had to make an executive decision to put a hault to all the funding going into the record label (esmg), and put more money, time and resources into the Apparel, and EsK9s (Dog Kennel & Training Center). My first love has always been music, so this was a tough decision and it was based on nothing but the lack of energy, effort and consistency from clients. So with a huge chunk of resources being freed up, so many more doors began to open up for me as a CEO, from bigger partnership deals, bigger licensing deals and our introduction to the podcast world, with our Outspoken Podcast Channel.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Social media has a love/hate relationship in my heart lol. I have been active on social media, since Myspace lol Social media is a tool and its up to you if you’re gonna use it to your benefit or are you gonna be another person caught in the matrix ?! As a business owner, having the power to reach over a billion potential customers/clients in the click of a button… that made my job, my life, my hustle, 100 times easier. To think, before the internet, before social media, there was a one and one millionth of a chance that you could send something to your favorite celebrity and there is a 50/50 chance that not only they see it, but actually respond. So i feel like it helps expand our reach more than we appreciate it.
The key to social media is great quality content and consistency. Simple.
