Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sita York. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sita, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, let’s jump into one of the most exciting parts of starting a new venture – how did you get your first client who was not a friend or family?
My first paying client came to me via social media, after one of my models posted her photos I took at a recent shoot. She reached out on facebook and I directed her to my website where she scheduled a complimentary phone consultation. After that call took place, she immediately paid my session fee and booked a date. It was an excited feeling to go through the process that you yourself created and have it all work out just as planned.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started Regal Rose Boudoir after shooting lifestyle, headshots, and family portraits for a year. During that year, I noticed that so many clients were blown away by seeing themselves through someone else’s perspective; in this case, my perspective. It made me happiest to see someone who was very self conscious or camera shy gushing over a picture of themselves caught on my camera. That small enactment of self-love is why I chose to make it my mission to help others see how beautiful they truly are. Whether someone is seeking a confidence boost, rediscovering their beauty, defining their self image, or just trying something different I am always happy to be a part of that journey. Regal Rose Boudoir offers a luxury boudoir photography experience for all adult genders and couples with self-love and admiration as a goal for the end result.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
I embrace the NFT world. I think it’s a wonderful means for artists and creatives to gain exposure for their art while also being able to generate income.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a boudoir photographer is knowing that your work can evoke strong emotions and reactions such as confidence, love, strength, inspiration, and encouragement. Seeing someone smile or cry at the sight of themselves in a photo makes it all worthwhile. There’s a certain point where you realize it’s more than just taking a picture, it’s bigger than just a photo shoot. You are actually a part of someone’s life journey and this means something to them.
