We recently connected with Sisi Brenae and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sisi , thanks for joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
When this “Life” thing is all said and done for me, I hope my name goes on a list amongst the Greats! I wish to Inspire everyone wish to do anything BIG; to go chase their dreams. I pray that my life will become a model story of what discovering Self Mastery and Self Care can do for a person on the journey for success. I want to show people how to shake off a fall and take L’s with a smile because struggles are necessary for growth. Personally, I wasn’t born in the most ideal circumstances for child raising. I had a mother that only had a sophomore education and 5 little brothers and we spent our whole childhood in slum neighborhoods in KC. I experienced homelessness at age 12 and moved around a lot.
But one thing that stayed constant throughout my existence was my hunger for more out of life. So I continue to learn, I continue to challenge myself and I continue to dream big.
Through dedicated research on the topics:
personal development, wealth, and entrepreneurship, I can change the game and inspire people to go after their passions and claim the world owes them.
My goal is to show people how to use thier resources and network to expand their brands and vision. I am here to add value to the beauty, fashion, health and business worlds.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Being the oldest and only girl of six children, I started applying makeup on myself my junior year of high school as a way to explore my feminine interest outside of my male dominated household.
My growing interest in the beauty and skincare industry and the confidence that follows an application, geared me towards Esthetician School as a tool to take the craft more serious and to become professional liaison for the industry to my community.
My mission is to educate and provide an affordable luxury experience through essential and non essential self care services.
My approach to makeup is to enhance natural beauty and to create a “High Vibe” environment for my clients. As an Esthetician, Im educated on the different skin conditions, tones and textures to give each client a personalized experience. All makeup applications includes preparation of skin prior to services based on each clients’ skincare needs.
I like to educate my clients on tools, products/ingredients and their purposes during services and the benefits for them specifically. At Sisi Brenae: Spa and Beauty, Client Experience and Loyalty are the main factors in measuring success.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Through relationship building, personal branding, exploring interests and consistency. I’ve been able to build brand/business awareness. I very rarely ask for favors, maybe it’s a pride a thing but I don’t ever anyone really for “free help”. If I do ask for assistance with anything I really need it, but I always make sure I offer something in return to express my gratitude. I’ve always been like that though. That’s something I’ve picked up from my mom. But, as I learn more about business, I now understand how important building and maintaining relationships is. One of my favorite CEO’s Patrick Bet-David says, “A lot of people treat their business relationships as one night stands. You get the client or customer and close the deal or sale… and that’s it. You’ll never see each other again”. I’m guilty of this myself especially at the beginning. My social anxiety had me nonchalant about follow ups and relationships. But following up, checking in, keeping your word. Man, those are TOOLS in ALL RELATIONSHIPS. Also, being curious and a constant learner has been working in my favor. The more I learn, the more I can teach, which will essentially help me expand my community. Every time you learn a new skill or tap into a new interest; you unlock a new market, you can now expand your network and potentially build NEW relationships; all because you learned a new thing. Once we realize how much power is in the PEOPLE, and we direct our focus of the businesses or brands towards those common goals of the people we want to build with… That’s the game changer!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I enrolled in Ethics school I was working 12 hour shifts at Jackson County juvenile detention as a Youth Worker. I was pregnant with my second child.
I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into I just knew I wanted to be the type of parent that had full control of my time and encourage my children to chase their dreams and accept all the sacrifices, downfalls and achievements of process.
The day before my first day of class I was scheduled to be at work from 7p – 7a; (class started at 9a) it was then I realized I didn’t have an exit plan or any plan in place for financial security.
At that moment I felt a sense of regret, inadequacy and self doubt. While preparing for work I began to experience an anxiety attack and decided to drop everything that didn’t align with my vision of being an Entrepreneurial parent. That included the job that I had that didn’t cooperate with my new schedule.
That’s when I began taking makeup clients and doing instacart as a way to make some money. Because at this point I’m locked in to the idea of completing this program and finishing what I started.
I had minor complications within my pregnancy and I gave premature birth to my son, 3 months into schooling. the idea of having 2 children, no sustainable income and increasing debt due to student loans and fees overwhelmed me through my Postpartum Depression.
Determined to not give up, but aware that I need to care more for my mental health. I took an additional 3 months after my initial 3 month maternal leave to adjust to my new life and to prepare for completion of the program. I also started working at Lowes part time for money, so I can finally start working our dream life.
After 1 year of being enrolled in a 6 month program I graduated from House of Heavilin Esthetics Program with 750 hours completed July of 2021.
During my enrollment in school I’ve encountered many losses and downfalls including death, car problems, financial problems, falling out with friends, family issues, bad break up, mentally instabilities etc, but I stayed tenacious and focused on my vision. I am proud of me.
