We recently connected with Siquoyia Blue and have shared our conversation below.
Siquoyia , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
At the age of 16, I had a profound realization that I yearned to embark on an artistic journey. Although I had been singing since I was 12, it wasn’t until I reached 16 that the notion of pursuing a career in music truly struck me. It felt as though the universe itself was beckoning me, urging me to inspire and reshape perspectives through the power of music.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am an abstract soul singer, songwriter, actress, and author. At the age of 20, I recorded my first song, and by 24, I released my debut album titled “Limitless.” Alongside my artistic endeavors, I established my own production company called Siquoyia World Productions. Under this label, I share my films, music, and books with the world.
What distinguishes me from many other singers is my unconventional approach to music. I firmly believe that music should not be confined to predefined boundaries. I believe in the freedom to create and express myself according to my own vision. Art, in my view, should not be bound by rules since everything in this world is ultimately a construct. I take immense pride in my recording studio and the music I have shared with the world. Additionally, I feel grateful for the opportunity to have written books from the depths of my soul, which millions of people can now explore on platforms like Amazon. It brings me joy to present my art in an unorthodox manner.
Looking ahead, I aspire to offer music consultations to assist artists in connecting with their higher selves. My goal is to help them stay true to themselves and their art, enabling them to tap into their unique potential.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I turned 27, I found myself venturing into the realm of technology to support both my art career and lifestyle. Many assumed I had abandoned my artistic aspirations, but little did they know that my intention was to become a true master of my craft. I desired the freedom to create on my own terms, and technology emerged as the key to unlocking that potential. My mentor’s wise words echoed in my mind—everything is interconnected—and I soon realized the profound impact technology had on saving both my life and my art. It became my genuine record deal, empowering me to forge my own path and breathe new life into my artistic endeavors.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I have had the pleasure of immersing myself in numerous life-changing books, yet one that holds a special place in my heart is “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho. Among the many valuable lessons, I gleaned from its pages, the notion of signs guiding us towards our authentic calling and purpose resonated deeply within me. Coelho’s captivating tale conveys the transformative power of our thoughts, emphasizing that we possess the ability to transform adversity into something positive, for the universe is attuned to the energy we emit.
