We recently connected with Simone Higginbotham and have shared our conversation below.
Simone, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
My legacy is to build people that are aware of their community and willing to serve those that are the last the least and the lost. What I think and hope people will say when I am gone is that she was humble. she left places and people better than she found them, and she helped people and never hurt them.

Simone, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am Simone O Higginbotham, and I am a 52-year-old mother of a 29-year-old daughter and grammie of 4-year-old Harper Florida-Marie. I stumbled into what I do after my divorce nearly 20 years ago. My marriage had been an abusive relationship and I had a need to be a part of something that would engulf me enough to motivate to rebuild my life. I started serving my communities non-profit and small business through outreach and hosting networking events geared primarily towards women. At first it was a distraction of what was going in my life. Then I realized I was good at connecting with people (women) and business owners. We all had been through or were going through one thing or another. The two things I provide for my clients are exposure and empowerment. What sets Simone O Higginbotham and what she does apart from everyone else is the ability to connect with people on any level. They get a sense of realness from me. What you see is what you get, nothing more nothing less. I want potential clients/fans/ followers to know is that I am no different than they are.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I created my FB account sometime in 2009 and it was initially to connect with people that grew up in my neighborhood or we attended school together at some point and time. Actually, my audience started way before I even dreamed, I would have a business let alone a following. I would post about real-life issue, moments and happening in my life. You know your fears, disappointment and of course the happiness in my life. I never post anything that didn’t reflect the reality of Simone. The ability of being relatable to my audience has been key. My advice would is be embraceable and relatable. From time-to-time show vulnerability.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with clients by always knowing what is going on with the brand. And what better way to do that than making a phone call or dropping by the office just to check in. Let them know that you always are available to be a listening ear that doesn’t divulge what has been discussed. It is all about creating trust. A client should know that your relationship is not completely about the almighty dollar.
