We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Simone’ Castille. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Simone’ below.
Simone’, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
I’ve been working in the corporate world for going on 8 years before I obtained my personal trainers’ certification. Over the last few years, I have been in an extremely unhappy space at my corporate job which urged me to seek something else. Who wants to be unhappy, overworked and underpaid especially for something they don’t love to do. I wanted to find something that I enjoyed doing, something that I got excited to wake up and do, I wanted to seek out my purpose and passion. Since 2018 I’ve been on a fitness journey that has brought so much joy to my life. Being able to get up each morning to workout not only for my physical health, but my mental health as well has truly brought me happiness. As time progressed, I realized how much I enjoyed working out and how so many women looked up to me for the consistency and hard work I put in at the gym on a daily basis. It gave me something to look forward to, especially to be able to set an example to motivate other women to get healthier, push themselves beyond their limits and believe in themselves. Soon after I received so many signs and people always asking me if trained or do I have a gym etc. I felt like it was time to step out on faith and do something that I talked about for some time now, so I obtained my certification for personal training. Although, I am still working my corporate job, I received my Certified Personal Trainer certification December 2023. I have trained and gotten people results even before receiving the certification, but now that I have it, I can continue to be that example and motivation for many and conquer the goals I have for the fitness industry. The ultimate goal is to depart from my 9 to 5 to fully pursue my passion/purpose and I will juggle both until it’s time to move forward.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a Certified Personal Trainer and the owner of Revive Her Fitness and also the creator of the Revive Her Boot Camp based in Houston, Tx. We are an online based fitness company that provide Online Fitness Programs, suggested meal plans, and nutritional advice. I got into the fitness industry based off my love for fitness and my own fitness journey. I wanted to create a safe space for women looking to start their fitness journey allow them to share experiences and be vulnerable about their struggles with like-minded individuals. Our goal is to create and bring together a community of women with similar fitness goals from all backgrounds, who are looking to evolve into healthier, stronger versions of themselves physically and mentally. We are here to uplift women who may have forgotten about themselves in the process of caring for others around them, women who are in need of an uplifting, supporting, motivating community to help them remain consistent/push them on their fitness journey and for women who simply need a “Pick Me Up” because as we all know Life be Lifing. We want our clients to not only lose weight and become stronger, but to feel great about themselves, gain mental clarity, release stress and give them a sense of discipline to continue their journey. We are here to help women overcome unhealthy habits and step into their better, healthier versions. My fitness business is created “FOR THE WOMAN BY THE WOMAN.” I don’t discriminate against the men at all, I just wanted to create a space designated to women and this is one of the reasons I created the Revive Her Boot Camp, it’s a space where women gather in person once a month for a fitness Boot Camp instructed by me to simply get a great 1 hour workout in, push their limits and help them feel alive. It’s something about a great workout that will restore and revive you and that’s our purpose. I’m proud that I’m able to create an environment that’s dedicated to women to help revive that inner being that has always been there. We are stronger than we realize and sometimes as women we need to simply be reawakened and brought back to life.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I believe the most effective way I’ve grown clientele has been a mixture of word of mouth, posting on social media, showing my personal progress and sharing my story. Also, when I’m out and about I always get asked am I a coach or do I train and that’s based off my physique, I consider myself to be a walking billboard for my brand and that attracts people in person and online.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I went through a rough patch recently in my personal life which started to affect my fitness life. I lost friends, had to leave a gym I loved, disconnected from certain people and environments that was hindering me to step into my purpose. I was put in uncomfortable situations where I eventually had to make decisions to put me in a better space. Over a period of time, I struggled to find my way, and get to a peaceful state to find what worked for me, but thankfully with God and the work I continue to put in he has not failed me. I started to focus more on the things I desired to do with my fitness brand and started putting actions in place to make things become a reality. I can say that with the support of family and true friends I’m getting closer to my dreams every day. No matter who tried to knock me down, spoke bad on my name and didn’t believe in me, I believed in myself and pushed myself beyond my limits and I continue to do so everyday. Never let the opinions of others dictate your future, what God has for you will be for you.
