We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Simona DeLucia. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Simona below.
Hi Simona, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I am not really a big risk taker but working in the ER and seeing how fast your life can change, it makes you think about what you really want out of life in the short amount of time we have here on this planet. Covid was an eye opener for me and I am sure for many other people to really go after your goals. I have always wanted to open my own practice to educate and help woman with their health and beauty needs and this year I have decided to go for it. I have invested my savings and opened my own health, wellness and aesthetics practice. I was scared to death of failing and millions of things were going through my head, what if I fail?, what if I can’t do it? but I always go with my gut feeling and I know that there is so much more for me out there and I am not stoping here. My practice has been opened for almost a year and its doing really well, my clients are amazing and my approach is 1:1 so we become very close and everyone gets treated like my own family.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I was born and raised in the Czech Republic and I came to United States when I was 18 years old. I only knew few words in English and I have spent most of my time reading books and learning the language, my dream was to become a nurse because I truly like to help people. I studied hard and was accepted to the nursing program at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT from where I have received my BSN, I have continued my education and received a Master Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University of Nursing and became a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
I have worked in the Emergency Departments, Plastic Surgery and Psychology and all I have learned in these fields help me serve my patients the best I can.
I have realized that my love for psychology, wellness and beauty goes hand to hand because when you look good you feel good.
My practice TheVIPinjector is a multi service boutique health practice that helps you FALL IN LOVE WITH YOURSELF through personalized care. I offer innovative aesthetics, wellness and anti-aging treatments to help you look and feel your best.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I believe the most effective strategy for growing my clientele is to be honest. I have one on one approach with my clients and I am always real and realistic with them and I believe that they appreciate that. If I don’t think something will not look good I won’t do it because at the end of the day they are walking around with my work on their face. I am also very honest with their health and hold my clients accountable to achieve the goals that we set together.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I am a big fan of Mel Robins, I do practice the High 5 Habits daily and listen to her podcast every week. She makes me believe that I have the power to change the world and inspire people to live a healtier life.
