Starting my marketing agency was no easy feat but it proved to be an incredibly rewarding experience. I’d like to share with you the steps that led up to its successful launch and how they contributed to making this dream a reality for me.
I started my journey in the military around 2010 by simply using my phone to take random pictures and videos of everything I encountered. Over time, this hobby became more than just a pastime for me – it turned into an art form as I honed my skills at recording video footage that truly captured moments beyond what any photograph could convey. With practice came perfection; soon enough people were noticing how talented I was when it came to showcasing these special memories through film. And so began my passionate pursuit of excellence within videography!
When I first started out as a videographer with my Canon EOS 250D (which is still one of my favorite cameras today) recording events was something that I did purely for fun. It wasn’t until later on when people began to take notice and ask me about pricing that it dawned upon me – maybe this could be more than just a hobby? So I took the plunge by investing in some editing software alongside my camera purchase; it seemed like an obvious choice at the time! And now here we are: after years spent honing my skills through trial-and-error experiences such as these early recordings, Im proud to say that I run a successful marketing agency that helps businesses reach their full potential through video content creation! Its been quite the journey but its all worth it in the end.
As a videographer starting out in Mullins, SC I recorded the annual Alumni Weekend Celebration which was my first event. The response from viewers on social media gave me an incredible boost of confidence – with numerous likes shares and comments pouring in! This encouraged me to seek more opportunities as a videographer such as recording podcasts or promotional videos for authors like my friend who needed help marketing his book online.. After some reflection I realized that if I could bring attention to something as simple as an experiment it might be possible for me to do the same thing on a larger scale – specifically helping businesses grow their brand and reach by bringing awareness. With this in mind I began exploring ways of using my skills creatively while also contributing positively towards other peoples success.
The pandemic has forced us all indoors, but it hasn’t stopped me from investing in top notch camera gear and software. As I watched businesses struggle to keep their doors open during this time of crisis I saw an opportunity: creating promotional videos for them remotely! With industry specific content tailored towards each client I sent out proposals via email or social media platforms like LinkedIn – the response was overwhelmingly positive with many offers coming my way soon after! This experience taught me that even when things seem bleak there are always opportunities waiting around every corner if you have the right mindset and tools at your disposal. use these assets wisely and success will follow suit!
I spent countless hours on YouTube researching the industry of videography. This helped me identify a gap in the market and develop my unique value proposition as a videographer.
