We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful SiMBOLiZM. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with SiMBOLiZM below.
Alright, SiMBOLiZM thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
I took the risk. I dropped out of college only 1 semester in, to pursue music. And I’m SO GLAD I did! I was originally going to college for video technology. Before college I had about 4 years of media experience.
College can be great, but at the time, my heart was into music. I felt this energy, like a magnet, pulling me into the EDM scene. I told myself that one day I’d be playing festivals and headlining shows around the country. A few years down the road, I’ve turned that crazy dream into a reality, and it’s been a magical journey.
If you have a gut feeling about taking a risk to pursue something, do it. It could change your life!
A few years down the road, after all the friends I’ve connected with, and how much my art project (SiMBOLiZM) has grown, it’s been quite worth the struggle.

SiMBOLiZM, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into the EDM scene first doing some videography for shows, I also made some recap videos and promo videos. I also had experience in the AV field, so I helped set up sound, lights, etc. for quite some time! After being around and connecting with the DJs and promoters, I realized how much more involved I wanted to get into the scene.
I slowly transitioned from media work to promoting shows, then to DJing and making music! Now I have traveled all over the country doing what I love. I try to promote mental health and positivity along the way, I want to help and heal as I travel/grow.
My “brand” has grown more into a project, which is based on connecting people and spreading love. I not only do music, I also still do photo/video work, I just released a new merch collection (and I have a new clothing company on the way, unrelated to my SiMBOLiZM Project), I do graffiti and paint, I also have so many talents and things I will reveal as this project grows.
You should join me on this journey!!!
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Honestly, making people happy! I love seeing people smile, and seeing someone just so happy/lost in the moment. I also love to know I have inspired/helped people along the way.
Often people will stop me and thank me for what I do, or tell me they “see” me. And they “see” my message.
The fact that I can help/inspire people along the way, while just expressing myself and spreading my message, is a wonderful feeling!
My “message” is love. And I can’t wait to share it with more people as time goes by!

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
The best way to support an artist, can be as small/simple as liking a post or giving them a follow.
For an artist like me you could stream or share music, events, merch, announcements, pictures/videos I post
Or if I have shows I’m playing, purchasing tickets to shows purchasing merch.
Don’t wanna spend money but want to show support? Repost a track, share a song to your story, tell a friend about me (or your favorite artist)
Whether it’s a small or huge, any type of support to an artist like me, goes a LONG way!
