We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sierra Weiss. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sierra below.
Sierra, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
As an April 2025 bride, I’ve discovered that my path to becoming a wedding content creator wasn’t something new—it’s been building my entire life. Growing up and still to this day, I was that friend with a camera, always catching the little in-between moments that no one else thought to notice. I edited silly YouTube videos in middle school (before it was even a thing), pouring hours into making something creative and fun, even if I got teased for it. By high school, I lived in every art class imaginable, finding joy in creating and curating things that told a story.
Fast forward to today, and I’ve traded those middle school edits for a love of hosting themed parties, designing special details, and creating memories with my family and friends. When I got engaged, I dove headfirst into wedding planning—something I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl. But what really sparked my inspiration was hiring a wedding content creator for my own big day. It clicked for me: this is how I could combine everything I love—being creative, staying behind the scenes, and capturing the beauty of life’s biggest moments.
Planning my wedding has shown me how much joy there is in not only celebrating my own love story but in being a part of others’ too. For the first time, my creative eye, love for storytelling, and passion for people’s “happily ever afters” aligned perfectly. What started as a personal journey turned into a calling & now I’m all in on helping others hold onto their most special moments in a way that feels timeless and heartfelt

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi! I’m Sierra, the face behind Moments to Hold. I’m a Carolina (but Clemson, go Tigers) girl, 2025 bride to be, lover of espresso martinis & red wine, dog mom & equestrian and your go-to wedding content creator.
Basically, I’m the friend who’s always behind the camera, finding joy in those sweet, real, in-between moments that make your wedding day so personal to you and the love of your life!
As a bride myself, I get it—this is such an emotional, exciting time & it goes by way too fast. That’s why I’m here: to capture the happy tears, belly laughs, sneaky hugs & all the little details you’ll want to relive forever.
Moments to Hold is all about documenting your day from a behind-the-scenes perspective. While your videographer gets the epic, cinematic shots, I’m the one who’s there with my iPhone, catching the reactions, candid moments & raw emotions. The couple receives all raw footage within 24 hours so you can relive the magic immediately! Edited social-ready recap videos are also a deliverable within 24-48 hours.
I am based near Charlotte, NC, I travel all over the Carolinas (and beyond!) to celebrate love stories. Wedding content creation wasn’t something I initially set out to do—it’s something that found me over time as I leaned into the things I’ve always loved.
When I got engaged, I dove headfirst into wedding planning. It wasn’t just about picking vendors or designing my dream day—I wanted to soak up everything about it. It was during this process that I realized how much I loved the idea of preserving memories. I hired a wedding content creator for my own big day, and it was a lightbulb moment for me. I knew I could bring my own creative touch to this space, combining my love of storytelling, attention to detail, and passion for love stories.
What I do with Moments to Hold Co. is simple: I help couples document the quiet, sweet moments of their wedding day. I’m the person in the background catching the in-between shots—the laughs, the happy tears, the hugs you don’t realize you’ll want to remember; hundreds if not thousands of clips, all on an iPhone, ready to be delivered the very next day. Those little moments matter, and I love being the one to help couples hold onto them.
Something I’m really proud of is how this business feels like an extension of me. It’s rooted in creativity, sentimentality, and genuine care for the people I work with. I want every couple to feel seen and celebrated, and I love that my work allows me to play a small part in some of life’s biggest milestones and love stories.
At the end of the day, I’m just someone who loves love, who thrives on creative projects, and who’s happiest when I’m capturing life’s sweet moments—whether it’s my own or someone else’s

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
When people hear “wedding content creator,” I think a lot of misconceptions come to mind. One of the biggest ones is that we’re only for influencers or people who live for social media. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Sure, the content we create is shareable, but it’s so much more than that. It’s about having quick, easily accessible videos you can relive whenever you want—whether it’s to share with loved ones or just to hold onto for yourself. We capture the big moments, like your first look or your vows, but also the little ones that might slip by unnoticed: a quiet laugh with your maid of honor, your grandma tearing up as she watches you walk down the aisle.
Another misconception? That because we use iPhones or simpler equipment, what we do isn’t as artistic or valuable as traditional videography. But here’s the thing—wedding content creators see things differently. We’re not just pointing and shooting; we’re finding the angles, the details, and the raw moments that tell your story in an intimate, authentic way. It’s not about redoing what your photographer or videographer is capturing. We’re in the background, catching the stuff they might miss—the fleeting looks, the behind-the-scenes chaos, the real moments.
And I get that some people think you have to choose between hiring a videographer or a content creator, but the truth is, they’re not in competition. They actually complement each other beautifully. Videographers create these stunning, polished films, while wedding content creators give you something raw and immediate. It’s not an either/or decision; it’s about what you want to hold onto from your day.
At the end of the day, I just want people to know that wedding content creators aren’t just a “trend” or a luxury for people obsessed with social media. We’re here to help couples hold onto moments in a way that feels personal and real—because that’s what weddings are all about, right?

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
I believe one of the most important ways society can support artists and creatives is by embracing the idea that there’s room for everyone. Word of mouth goes a LONG way and creativity isn’t a competition—it’s deeply personal, and everyone brings something unique to the table. No matter what realm of a creator you’re in, there is so much beauty in the variety of perspectives, styles & talents that exist, and when we stop comparing or competing, we create space for that diversity to thrive.
Instead of seeing someone else’s success as a threat, we can see it as inspiration. When one creative wins, it raises the bar for all of us and shows what’s possible. Society can support that mindset by encouraging collaboration over competition—whether that’s through mentorship opportunities, creative communities, or just celebrating each other’s wins.
At the end of the day, the creative world thrives when we lift each other up, not tear each other down. There’s no scarcity of creativity & the more we support one another, the more room there is for everyone to grow, succeed, and shine
