We recently connected with Sierra Middleton and have shared our conversation below.
Sierra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I Came Up With The Idea Of Being A Brand Ambassador By Supporting Non LGBT Related Businesses And Donating The Profits Of My Inclusion/Affiliated Partnered Earnings To Safe Havens That Cater To The Trans Community. While Receiving Unemployment From A Job I Was Discriminated Against For 3 Years, I Wanted To Allow Cis Heterosexual Allies To Advertise And Promote Their Apparel To Queer Customers Of Color. Being The Face Showcasing Trans Models And Trans Fashion.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My Sole Proprietor LLC Is Sarah’s Daughter; And I Am A Transgender Content Creator Who Advocates For Queer Non Privilege Women Of Color. I Originated From Columbia, South Carolina As A Army Veteran And Emerged To Baltimore To Be A Journalist With The Chicago Griot And Gaye Magazine. Giving An Opportunity And Platform To The LGBT Community
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
My Audience From Social Media Was Built 85% Of Viewers From My Staff Writing In My Internship In Atlanta While I Was With Journey Weekly. I Felt My Contribution To The Community Came From Sharing The Deaths Of Trans Murders And Hate Crimes Of Love Victims. I Advise Anyone To Speak To The Sector Of Algorithm So That You Can Monitize Off Of Any Experiences You Have, So That You Can Be As Safe As Possible
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The Best Way I Expand My Audience Is By Finding Allyship In Heteronormative Society. Finding Bonds Within Marketing And Advertisement That Helps Support Trans Men And Women Of Color. A Strategy I Use Is To Go And Financially Support As Many Mom And Pop Institutions I Can And Assist Their Business Whether Commercials Or Photoshoots, So That Trans People Can Feel Comfortable
