We recently connected with Sierra Coleman and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sierra , thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
To me, becoming successful is as equally important as living your dreams. What I believe it really takes to be successful is never giving up. Sometimes, life can throw curve balls knocking you down. The important thing to remember is to always get back up. No matter what. Grit and resilience is what it takes to be successful in life and all of its endeavors.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Sierra and I am the founder of Sierra Coleman Ministries, which is a platform that gives hope to the lost. Our message is to continue to strive in life and allows your weaknesses and mistakes to make you better. I founded this ministry because of my own personal struggles in life from addiction, rejection, abuse and the list goes on. I decided that I wanted to help others who may have walked through my shoes. With this platform, I speak my voice to be heard by the hurting, the loss, the empty and the unfulfilled. I provide advice, spiritual coaching & counseling to those who need an ear to hear. I am most proud of the people that I believe God has sent my way to help over the years. This is my greatest accomplishment. The people who come back telling me how they have been inspired to live better lives and not letting their pasts condemn them. I use my experiences in life to encourage others to lift their voice in spite of the trials they face, because better days are ahead!
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I remember a time where I had lost everything. I had gotten evicted from my apartment, i lost my car, which lead to me losing my job because I had no transportation. Then I got divorced. This was a tough time for me. I didn’t know how I would make it, but something in me would not give up. I felt a burning fire inside me telling me to keep going. I ended up looking online for motivational messages and I noticed that the people that I began to watch were once in my shoes. Which pushed me to not give up. I applied for another job, got the job, applied for a new apartment, got that too. Next was the car. God had restored everything I had lost in a prior season of my life. Which motivated me even the more! I was resilient in making something happen for myself and not throwing in the towel.
How did you build your audience on social media?
When it comes to building any brand, you have to market yourself. You have to be seen! This is the most important step in any business or platform. I remember just making videos of my struggles in life and using hashtags to attract people who were interested in my topics. Then I began to run a few adds to attract more people. A year later, my numbers began to grow and people began to find me on social media because the audience I had would began to share my posts and videos which caused a greater level of attention.
