We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Siefyan Wali a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Siefyan , thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is my music. My songwriting credibility has enhanced over the last 4 years and I continue to keep perfecting it as I continue to write songs. I love to write songs from the heart with passion that can relate to everyday people like myself.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I got in this business when I was 19. And I’ve been singing all of my life, I went to a recording studio for the first time when I was 17 in high school and I went to record in a homemade studio when I was 19 and I was fueled. I started writing and creating music from random beats that I go get my hands on at the time and write anything until I felt it was perfect. When you perfect your craft you get better, practice makes perfect. I’m most proud of my singing, writing credibility & work ethic and to make room for any mistakes.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is knowing how different you are from society. Not fitting in with the in crowd and the universe purposely putting you in situations and removing certain people out of your life for a reason. The time spent alone is the time you get to know yourself and perfect your craft and never getting besides yourself.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I think society should start getting back into the music aspect of things, now a days it’s all about how many followers you have, who’s the prettiest and I feel in todays age, some social influence does help to a certain standard but the main objective is the voice or how relatable you can be to people.
