Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sie Blue. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
As the founder of a Non- Profit, Support Impact Give Hope (S.I.G.H.), the most meaningful project I’ve worked on was our fundraiser & awareness event, The Strut Fashion Experience. This event brings the community and creatives together for one common goal, human trafficking awareness.

Sie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Sie Blue, creatively known as “Sigh”, is a Detroit native who developed a deep love for the city at a young age. Her passion for helping others and art grew into advocacy for youth and underserved populations in Detroit.
Sie spent many years educating her peers on the importance of healthy relationships, abstinence, STI/HIV prevention, and other crucial life skills through art form. It was through this work that she expanded her knowledge of human trafficking.
Throughout her life, Sie has crafted a narrative of empowerment and resilience, using creative storytelling as both a model, actress, creative director, and overall, an artist. Her passion for performance arts not only allows for self-expression but also acts as a powerful tool for social change.
As the Founder/CEO of Support Impact Give Hope (S.I.G.H.), she leads a mobile resource hub designed to assist survivors of sex trafficking and the homeless.
In addition to her leadership in addressing social injustices, she mentors youth in performance arts and socio-emotional development, enriching after-school programs and building resilience for a brighter future.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I’ve realized that I have many lessons to choose from in life, but one of the most important was unlearning the habit of “matching energy.” There was a time when I would treat people exactly how they treated me, being rude if they were rude to me. However, I learned that this is not the right approach for several reasons. How you treat others can impact their life in ways you might not realize. Everyone has bad days, and sometimes rudeness isn’t a personal attack—it’s just a reflection of what they’re going through. I’ve come to understand that kindness is the most powerful tool we can use.
This shift in thinking came from a reflective moment in my life. During one of my own bad days, I was feeling down and chose to keep to myself. Unfortunately, someone I cared about took my quietness as a personal slight. Had he approached me with understanding instead of judgment, our interaction could have been so different. That experience taught me the importance of leading with kindness and patience, even when it’s not easy.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The goal is not just to feel free, but to truly be free. It’s the pursuit of those moments when the mind is quiet, simply existing without pain or worry. The moments when you feel your community just won a battle we’ve been fighting for so long, that fuels my creative journey
