We were lucky to catch up with Sidawney Edwards recently and have shared our conversation below.

What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.
My mother, played a pivotal role in shaping the person I am today. My mother, a God-fearing woman from Kingston, Jamaica, exemplified the values of hard work and determination. Despite the challenges she faced, including long and grueling work weeks, she always put in the effort to provide for our family, which included her elderly mother and her children.
The sight of my mother working tirelessly, regardless of physical exhaustion or challenging weather conditions, served as a constant source of inspiration for me. Her dedication and resilience taught me the importance of perseverance and instilled in me a profound respect for the value of hard work.
One of the most impactful lessons my mother imparted was the significance of education as a pathway to working smarter rather than harder. She emphasized the value of obtaining a college degree, which would open doors to a career and opportunities beyond manual labor. I am grateful for the sacrifices she made to provide me with the chance for a more secure and fulfilling life.
Through her actions and guidance, my mother shaped my work ethic, ambition. Her influence is evident in my approach to both life and career, as I strive to embody the same determination and resilience that she demonstrated throughout her life.

I am Sidawney Edwards, the CEO of Lifestyle Clothing Brand. My journey of becoming a clothing brand owner began with my passion for sneakers, streetwear fashion, and entrepreneurship. I loved looking stylish while making money and saw an opportunity to do both. Growing up as a big sneakerhead with a penchant for high-end streetwear fashion, my friends and colleagues often sought clothing recommendations and outfit ideas from me. Since I was already influencing the fashion choices of those around me, I decided to turn my passion into a business.
The primary driving factor that has fueled the growth of our clientele at Lifestyle Clothing Brand is me leveraging my strong personal local presence. Being well-known for dressing well and having a passion for sneakers within the community has played a significant role. By establishing a reputation as a trusted source for fashion advice and outfit ideas, we naturally attracted individuals who resonated with our style.
Additionally, our exclusive clothing designs, crafted to resonate with our target audience, have been instrumental in drawing attention and building a dedicated customer base. We’ve focused on creating pieces inspired by sneakers, music, and the local culture of St. Petersburg, FL, reinforcing our brand’s connection to the community. This strategy has not only expanded our local customer base but has also contributed to word-of-mouth referrals and a strong sense of community around our brand.
