We were lucky to catch up with Shonda Reynolds Christian recently and have shared our conversation below.
Shonda , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
It actually started from a college paper “How to Live a Wonderful” when Professor wrote this needs to be a book. Well, years later while getting my master’s degree, I had to do a pictorial which led me back to the paper and I wrote a book from there. My husband stated the book needed to be a movie which shocked me. We laughed and years later, the book becoming a movie came up again. Then, we decided to find someone to write the script once that was done, it became real. I started researching pre-production, production, and post production to understand what we were responsible for being independent. We formed a committed and begin to brainstorm although I had no idea where the money was coming from we my husband had a plan. Once we got the money we found director and “STILLGOTJOY” was produced.

Shonda , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
