We were lucky to catch up with Shomara Garcia recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Shomara, thanks for joining us today. Do you manage your own social media?

I manage my own company’ social media platforms, however in the past I’ve had interns help with engagement.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to unlearn that “if I want something done right, I have to do it myself.” — I realize I cannot do it all. If you want to scale up and grow fast, you have to have a team and that was very hard for me to grasp because I like things done a certain way and I know I can depend on myself. I had to get real good at hiring reliable and professional staff whose work ethic I liked and who were good at doing the things I didn’t like to do or wasn’t good at doing.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

We had to pivot the way we do business and contract out for the post-op care. Muneca Services LLC. has partnered with accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, to work only with skilled and trustworthy staff from a third-party Licensed and Accredited Home Health Care Agency for all new bookings made after December 1, 2021.
