We were lucky to catch up with Shirley Ellis, Pmp® recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Shirley, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I am building a legacy rooted in lifting others to heights they never imagined possible. My vision is that people will remember me as someone who believed in their potential, even when they couldn’t see it themselves.Throughout my life, I have strived to be more than just a leader—I aim to be a source of hope, strength, and encouragement.
My mission is to create an environment where people feel safe to be vulnerable, knowing they are valued not only for what they do but for who they are. By walking alongside others through life’s most challenging moments, listening without judgment, and sharing my own journey, I want to remind them that fear doesn’t have to hold them back. Instead, it can become a powerful catalyst for growth and success. My leadership is driven by the desire to leave a lasting impact, empowering people to live a life of success while feeling supported every step of the way.
Shirley, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media began with a clear purpose: to inspire, empower, and connect with others through authentic, meaningful content. My secret to building a brand is simple—focus on adding value and solving problems.
It’s never been about the numbers; I care more about the impact I create. By consistently showing up, sharing stories of resilience, and providing actionable insights on overcoming fears and pursuing goals, I’ve been able to foster genuine connections and lasting change.
For those just starting, lead with your “why.” Be authentic, consistent, and intentional about serving your audience with content that educates, inspires, and uplifts. Solve their challenges and offer value in every interaction.
Establishing a presence takes time, but when you stay true to your mission and commit to helping others, you’ll create a community that not only supports your message but amplifies your vision.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Managing a team and maintaining morale starts with caring deeply for your people and empowering them to succeed. Build trust by listening to their concerns, celebrating their strengths, and recognizing their contributions.
Create a compelling vision that inspires everyone to see the bigger picture and their role in achieving it. Provide clear guidance, opportunities for growth, and the tools they need to thrive.
Lead with empathy and resilience, showing that challenges are stepping stones to success. When your team feels valued, supported, and inspired, they’ll rise to meet any challenge with confidence and purpose.
